Rejected and Pregnant Claimed By The Dark Alpha Prince novel Chapter 824

After seeing Zilia off at the airport, Juniper returned to her apartment. She spent the next hour tidying up, then treated herself to a hot bath. Feeling relaxed, she stepped out onto her balcony, cradling a glass of fresh coconut water that had been delivered just moments before.

"I forgot to message Denzel," she muttered, suddenly anxious. She scanned the balcony, and when she didn't see her phone, she hurried into the bedroom to retrieve it from the bed.

As she opened her messages, her eyes widened at a text from Denzel sent fifteen minutes ago: "I'm on my way to your house. Get ready. I'm taking you somewhere."

In panic, she rushed to her closet, pulling out clothes and holding them up against her reflection, her mind spinning with indecision. Finally, she settled on a white skirt and matching top. It felt elegant and perfect for their first date.

She didn't waste another second. She slipped into the outfit, then quickly blow-dried her hair, smoothing it out until it fell straight.

"I really need to get my golden highlights touched up," she murmured to her reflection, making a mental note as she hurried to finish her preparations.

Applying a touch of light makeup, she reached for a strawberry-tinted lipstick, pressing her lips together to evenly blend the color. She slipped into her rose gold sandals and fastened a pair of gold earrings, catching her reflection one last time. She had just turned away when her phone chimed.

Seeing Denzel's name on the screen, she took a steady breath and answered.

"Yes, Denzel?"

"Are you ready? I'm waiting for you in the car," Denzel stated.

"Yes, I'm ready. I'm coming down now," Juniper replied. She ended the call, grabbed her mini white purse, and hurried out the door.

As she reached the gates, she found Denzel leaning against the bonnet of his car. He was dressed in a casual t-shirt and blue jeans, a relaxed style she rarely saw him wear.

Juniper paused before him. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting."

"Not at all," he promised. He reached out to gently brush a stray lock of hair behind her ear before moving to open the door for her. Juniper offered a soft smile and slid into the seat, and a moment later, Denzel climbed in from the driver's side to start the engine.

As Denzel merged the car out of the residential complex and into the light traffic, he cast a quick glance her way. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"You look pretty," he said. The compliment was casual, but the way he lingered on her for a second before refocusing on the road sent a jolt through her.

"That's a heavy concern," he said, finally looking over at her before glancing back at the road. "But I need you to be clearer. When you ask if I'll change, are you asking if my behavior toward you is going to shift simply because of a label, or are you worried I'll walk away if things get complicated?"

Juniper remained silent, staring out the window at the passing trees. She couldn't bring herself to voice the root of her hesitation, who was Dominick. He had been a man who demanded perfection but never once bothered to understand her life or the pressures she faced.

Denzel didn't look away from the road, but his grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly. "Are you afraid I'll turn out like Prince Dominick?" he asked. "That if you make a mistake or hide something from me, I'll just abandon you?"

Juniper turned toward him, her expression caught between shock and embarrassment. "Do you read minds?"

Denzel shook his head. "No. It wasn't hard to guess. Your fear of relationships is clearly rooted in your past." He glanced at her for a second with seriousness.

"Gabriel told me about the situation with Noah, the things you said about him not being a 'real' Sinclair. You expected them to turn their backs on you, but they chose to forgive you. People who want to stay, Juniper, they stay regardless of the mistakes."

He kept his focus forward, but his voice was firm. "Not everyone is Prince Dominick. Back then, you broke more than just his trust; you hurt everyone around you. But you've said it yourself that you and the Prince were never a good fit. You need to stop holding me to the standard of a man who didn't want to understand you in the first place."

Juniper's heart skipped a beat to listen to his words. The man might be younger than her, but his intellect spoke maturity. The doubts she had been carrying now completely vanished.
