Chapter 167
This slap did not land on Ash. Ash twisted Alison’s wrist and gave herself a hard slap.
She hadn’t planned to make a move so soon, but Alison really had no clue, so she had no choice but to act ahead of time.
Alison’s scream was sharp and thin, giving her a fright.
Alison instantly covered her wrist and squatted down, suddenly bursting into tears. “You broke my hand. It hurts so much
She thought Alison was overreacting.
She had just twisted it. At most, it was a dislocation. She was not capable of breaking it.
“You were the one who cursed at me first! You called me ugly. If you can curse at me, why can’t I hit you Alison cried like a child whose candy had been snatched away.

Annoyed by Alison’s crying, Ash took a handkerchief from her pocket and handed it to Alison. “Your wrist isn’t as injured as you think. When did I call you ugly? Are you delusional?”
Ash grabbed her dislocated wrist, and with a click, set it back in place.
The instant her wrist was back in place, Alison howled again. “Don’t touch me. Stay away!”
Ash realized she had overestimated Alison. Alison was much weaker than she had imagined. Ash hadn’t even used half her strength.
“Weren’t you just yelling that your wrist was broken? Now that it’s fixed, don’t go around accusing me.” Ash looked at Alison as if Alison were a fool.
Alison moved her wrist and found that it could move again. Her arrogance returned. “Accuse you? So what if I am? You just committed attempted murder!”
‘Murder? That’s a big crime,‘ Ash thought.
Ash didn’t dare to bear this crime.
She thought, “Then what was it when Alison had hit me with something? Is that considered murder?”
“Alison, were you trying to kill me just now? You almost crushed me with your bag. So, technically, I was acting in self- defense, wasn’t I?” Ash smiled faintly, her eyes narrowed, but there was no amusement in them.
Ash smiled faintly, her eyes narrowed, but there was no amusement in them.
“Why did you kick Jade out? She didn’t do anything wrong! Do you think she wanted to be the replacement child?” Alison’s train of thought jumped quickly.
The topic returned to Jade suddenly.
Ash felt it was both stupid and pointless to continue arguing with Alison, so she turned to leave. But the seemingly delicate Alison grabbed her arm with surprising strength and pulled her back, nearly causing her to lose her balance and fall.
