Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1033

"What if we end up crossing Ms. Sidorov?" Quinn voiced her concern.

Lila chuckled. "Haven't you heard what she said? Sebastian had helped her before, and they were not close. Helping him with this marriage proposal is just her way of repaying that favor. Once this is over, she won't bother with him anymore."

"You're brilliant, Ms. Berry. But what about Mr. Karcher? He's dead set on getting you. If he finds out you're marrying that loser, he's going to be furious."

"If that scumbag Waylon is unhappy about it, he can deal with that loser. It's not my problem." Lila sneered.

"You're a genius! If we shift all the blame to the loser, Mr. Karcher will only want to settle scores with him. It's a win-win situation." Quinn admired her strategy.

The Berrys were once a prominent family in Wonderton. Even though their glory days were behind them, their name still commanded respect.

When word spread that Lila, one of the city's four renowned beauties, was getting married, the crowd erupted in a frenzy.

"Have you guys heard? Ms. Berry is getting married!"

"Everyone's talking about it. She's a real gem. I can't believe she's going to end up with some scumbag," someone remarked enviously.

Another chimed in, "I heard a rumor that she isn't getting married. Instead, she is bringing in a husband, and he's just a penniless nobody."

"Really? Ms. Berry is one of Wonderton's four great beauties and comes from a prominent family. With her looks and lineage, she could have anyone. Why would she settle for a loser?"

"Who knows? It's unfortunate that someone as good as her is stuck with a loser."

The crowd was filled with envious chatters.

The news quickly reached Waylon while he was eating. Upon hearing that, he slammed his hand on the table and cracked the surface.

"Damn it! Find out who's got the guts to steal my woman. He must have a death wish!" he seethed.
