Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1039

Sebastian looked at Rufus and the others. "I'm taking your daughter to bed now. Do you have anything to say?"

"Bastard! You'll pay for this!" Viridis cursed, and her eyes were full of uncontainable rage.

"I advise you to watch your words. If you don't, I might take my frustrations out on your daughter," Sebastian replied with a mischievous smile.

Rufus and Viridis paled at his threat.

Viridis stopped insulting him and turned to pleading. "Please let her go. We'll do whatever you want."

"Well, I could spare all of you," Sebastian stated.

"Are you serious?" she asked urgently.

Rufus asked calmly, "What are your terms?"

"Pledge your loyalty to me," Sebastian stated his purpose.

No matter how strong a person might have been, their energy was finite. He understood that having capable allies could save him considerable effort. Since the members of Heptakill were formidable, he wanted them on his side.

Rufus and the others sank into thought. They reveled in their lives hidden in the shadows and cherished their freedom. How could they possibly agree to submit to someone else? Yet, they understood that Sebastian would show them no mercy if they refused.

"Fine. We'll pledge our loyalty to you." After a moment of hesitation, the assassins chose to yield.

Sebastian signaled Chaya, who promptly unsealed their cultivation base. Besides Violet, the others lined up and knelt simultaneously. "We pledge our allegiance to you, sir."

"Let me make this clear. If you choose to pledge loyalty to me, it requires absolute fidelity. If any of you dare to betray me, you'll wish you had never been born," he said coldly.

"Don't worry, sir. We assassins keep our word. Now that we've pledged our loyalty to you, we won't betray you."
