Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1158

"What's wrong, Supreme Lord?"

Rainey and Stephanie gasped in shock, frantically calling out and shaking Sebastian. They tried to wake him up, but it was useless. He didn't respond at all.

Rainey quickly realized something was terribly wrong. She turned her gaze toward Lucian. "You poisoned the wine!"

"You're not as dumb as I expected. Yes, you're correct. I added Eternal Sleep Elixir to the wine. It's not exactly a poison, it's more like a deep-sleep elixir. Now, even if the sky fell, he wouldn't wake up." Lucian said with a smug smile.

"What are you planning?" Rainey asked, both shocked and furious.

Lucian gave a cold laugh. "Our family has lived peacefully in Aruna City for generations. You people came to take what's ours, so I have no choice but to eliminate you."

"That's treason!" Rainey shouted angrily.

Lucian scoffed and said disdainfully, "Call it what you want. Even the Evolet Kingdom couldn't reclaim this city from us centuries ago. They tried, but they didn't dare push us too far."

Merrick chuckled with satisfaction. "Do you know why the royal family doesn't dare challenge us?"

"Because you've grown tired of living," Rainey retorted coldly.

Merrick shook his head with a smirk. "Wrong. Our family controls Aruna City because we have strength in numbers. Even the royal family couldn't do anything about it. We command over a thousand demigods and more than twenty Lesser Deity Masters."

Rainey's heart sank, stunned by the revelation. Their power was overwhelming. It was far beyond even what the Swordity could muster.

Lenora chimed in, "Let me tell you, that's not all. My sister is a core disciple at Violetta Sacred Ground, and she was favored by the elders.

"So, opposing us means going against the Violetta Sacred Ground. You have no chance against our family."

"Never! I'd rather die than be your side chick!" Rainey fumed.

"Same here," Stephanie said firmly.

Lucian smiled and said, "You don't get a choice. My son is being generous, and you should be grateful. Once the Supreme Lord is dead, you'll hand over the Supreme Merchants Guild to us!"

"In your dreams! We'd rather die," Rainey spat.

Lucian wore a sinister smile. "Death isn't the worst thing that can happen. There are far more terrible fates.

"For instance, with 3000 soldiers in this city, I'm sure many of them would love to get acquainted with two beautiful women like yourselves. How do you think that'll go?"
