Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1212

Damir had bad luck written all over him?

As soon as the words were spoken, everyone's attention snapped to him. Those nearby quickly stepped back as if avoiding a plague.

Damir was seething with rage. His eyes widened, fists clenched, and the fury in his gaze seemed like it could scorch anyone who met it.

"Don't talk nonsense! I've always won when stone betting with Lydia," he snapped. "If I've got bad luck, then what about her?"

The crowd nodded and agreed with his point.

Sebastian smiled faintly. "Bad luck doesn't just strike anyone. It shows up at the right moment. It wasn't until you ran into me that it latched onto you.

"I happen to be skilled in divination, and I saw it. Bad luck all over you. That's why I dared to bet with you, even picking stones at random. Honestly, I could've closed my eyes and still won."

Damir's fury only intensified. His fists cracked as he clenched them even tighter. His eyes were burning with such rage it seemed like they might explode.

"Why are you still standing there? Pay up!" Sebastian urged.

Reluctantly, Damir pulled out his spiritual card and transferred three billion spiritual stones—nearly everything he had. It felt like his heart was bleeding.

"Go on. Our bet is worth more than that," Sebastian said with a grin.

Damir's gaze shifted to Lila, and his eyes were filled with regret. He hadn't even had a chance to make his move yet. "She's yours tonight."

"No! Please, no!" Her face turned pale as she shook her head in terror. "This was between you and Mr. Sabalja. It has nothing to do with me."

As she tried to flee, Sebastian grabbed her shoulder firmly. "Damir used you as his wager, and you didn't object. That means you agreed. It's too late to back out now."

"Please, let me go," Lila looked at him with tear-filled eyes. Her pitiful expression was enough to stir sympathy in anyone.

"I'll let you go in the morning. But for now, stay quiet. Or else I won't be so kind," Sebastian said coldly.

"Mr. Sabalja, save me," Lila pleaded. But seeing her appeal to Sebastian was in vain, she turned to Damir for help.

"I'll give you ten million spiritual stones if you let her go," Damir offered.
