Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 819

The massive eagle suddenly swooped down into a valley, and when it rose again, its talons were clutching a large prey.

"What did I just see?"

Lana's eyes widened in shock, with disbelief written all over her face.

The others were equally stunned. Harvey murmured under his breath, "Did that eagle just catch… a mammoth?"

"It is a mammoth!"

Sebastian broke into a cold sweat and immediately motioned for everyone to crouch down.

"How is that possible? Did an eagle just hunt down a mammoth?" Harvey's expression was a mix of disbelief and astonishment.

Sebastian also found it hard to believe, but the truth was right in front of them, so they had to admit it.

That had clearly misjudged the size of the eagle at first. For it to carry off a mammoth like that, the bird must have been enormous and it was far beyond anything they could have imagined.

"Are we in the Ice Age or something?" Lillian asked, her voice filled with shock.

This place was too strange, and even Sebastian wasn't sure what was going on anymore.

"We should keep moving and get out of these mountains."

They chose another direction and continued the journey.

Not long after, Lillian suddenly pointed ahead. "Look! There's a palace up there!"

Everyone turned to look. Sure enough, perched on the peak of a mountain in the distance was a magnificent, golden palace.

"What's wrong?" Lana asked as she turned around.

Sebastian also immediately spun to face the source of the noise.

Cassandra stood there, her face pale with terror. "They're gone. They've all disappeared!"

Sebastian realized that the Infernal Gate's members, who had been walking ahead, were nowhere to be seen. He and Lana had been in the middle of the group, with the others trailing behind them.

Yet now, there was no sign of Lillian, Bruce, Harvey, Gina, Zia, or Esme. All of them had vanished without a trace. There was only Cassandra at the back.

There was nothing but barren land all around them. There was no cover or hiding places. How could they just disappear into thin air like that?

Even if they'd flown away, there was no way they could have vanished so quickly.
