Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 865

Deimante glanced at Sebastian and curiously asked, "Stephanie, who is this? I haven't seen him around before."

"He's a good friend of mine who just joined the academy today," Stephanie explained with a smile.

Then, turning to Sebastian, she said, "Mr. Wilder, these are the two people I mentioned earlier—Mr. Ramiro and Ms. Deimante, the most talented individuals in our academy."

"I'm Sebastian Wilder. I hope to receive your guidance in the future," Sebastian responded politely.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of you," Deimante said with a friendly smile. "If anyone dares to bully you, just mention my name."

"You're as kind as you are beautiful, Ms. Deimante. I'd like to thank you in advance," Sebastian replied, smiling back.

"You have quite a sweet tongue." Deimante laughed. "If you ever have any questions about your cultivation, feel free to ask me."

Sebastian expressed his gratitude again.

Meanwhile, Ramiro, who was watching the two chat and laugh, couldn't hide his irritation. There was a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

"Shall we go together?" Deimante suggested.

Stephanie quickly nodded, eager for the chance to walk alongside Ramiro and Deimante.

As Sebastian was about to follow, he felt a hand land on his shoulder.

Turning, he saw Ramiro and asked, "Mr. Ramiro, is there something you wish to discuss?"

Ramiro's voice turned cold. "What exactly is your relationship with Stephanie?"

"We're just friends," Sebastian replied calmly.

A sneer crossed Ramiro's face. "If you want to stay in the academy, you'd better be smart. Keep your distance from Stephanie. She's out of your league.

A short while later, they arrived at the banquet hall. With less than half an hour before the event officially started, the hall still wasn't very crowded.

Most of the attendees were from the academy or a few prominent families. As for representatives from the four major sects—or rather, the three major sects since one had been dissolved—none of them had shown up.

It was evident they felt too superior to attend, displaying clear disdain for the academy.

Just as Sebastian and Stephanie entered, Ramiro walked up to him, his eyes sharp and his tone cold. "Did you ignore what I told you earlier?"

He continued, "There will be some sparring matches later. What can a new student like you possibly contribute? Embarrass yourself?"

Sebastian frowned.

Stephanie quickly interjected, "Mr. Ramiro, it was Mr. Santiago who invited us."

Seeing Stephanie speak up for Sebastian, Ramiro grew even more displeased. "Since Mr. Santiago asked you to be here, I won't say much. Just stay in a corner and don't draw attention."
