"What did you just say?" an elder asked, his brow furrowed slightly.
"My dad told you all to get lost!" the little one said unhappily. Her instincts told her that these old men were not good people. Plus, as soon as they entered the kitchen, they wanted to eat her food. They had no manners befitting guests.
"You told us to get lost?"
One of the elders stared in disbelief. How could Wu Tian speak to them like this? They were elders, with an average age of over ninety. They were revered members of the Martial Association! Did Wu Tian not understand what it meant to respect your elders and betters?
The other elders were also visibly angry. "Wu Tian, what are you saying?"
"We're old men, after all."
"What's wrong with eating a meal at your place? Why are you so displeased about it?"
"You should learn from the Sword Emperor."
"Exactly. The Sword Emperor handled things so well in the past. Although your martial skills surpass his, there are still areas where you should learn from him."
"Like respecting your elders and betters!"
"Right! For another thing, he always showed respect to the elderly."
"Every time the Sword Emperor saw us, he was very polite. This is something you need to learn."
"The Sword Emperor treated us like his own fathers. Twenty years ago, he even said, 'You are like my teachers, you are like my fathers!'"
"Yes, you should learn from him..."
So annoying! A wave of disgust washed over Wu Tian as he listened to them prattle on about how great the Sword Emperor was, expecting him to learn from the man. Learn what? To honor them? To give them money to spend? To put it bluntly, they want me to treat them as my mentors and my fathers!
"Was the Sword Emperor really that great?" Wu Tian asked with a playful tone.
The elders all nodded, feeling somewhat nostalgic for the Sword Emperor. Seeing that Wu Tian was even asking about this, they thought there might still be a chance to "correct" him. Wu Tian wasn't the Sword Emperor, but in their eyes, they could mold him into one! But the outcome proved they were utterly mistaken.
"Then you might as well go keep the Sword Emperor company," Wu Tian said indifferently.
"What?"
The elders' pupils dilated. Realizing things were going south, they turned to run. They all knew their martial skills were mediocre, so why had they been so audacious in front of Wu Tian? It was because they were seniors from the Martial Association, but they had never expected Wu Tian to be so unrestrained.
Wu Tian gathered Spiritual Power in his fist and then unleashed a punch like a thunderous cannonball!
BOOM!
The space shook violently. Their bodies convulsed for a moment before vanishing into nothingness.
"Alright, let's eat." Acting as if the men had never been there, Wu Tian casually began to set the plates on the table.
Murong Yezi closed the door, laid out the bowls and chopsticks, and then noticed the old men were gone. "Son, where are those impolite old men?"
"Them? They left through the window," Wu Tian said.
The little one chimed in cooperatively, "Yeah, Grandma! They looked like they'd escaped from a mental hospital."
Murong Yezi nodded, partly believing but mostly doubtful, since the old men who had crashed directly into her home had indeed seemed mentally unstable.
「Meanwhile...」
"This is the biological gene potion? Drinking this will instantly give me superpowers, like a Marvel superhero, without any side effects?" Wang Dawan, a man cautious to a fault, asked again, looking worriedly at the green, bubbly liquid in the small glass vial.
