"Tsu?"
"Tsu?"
A massive army.
The Lizardmen tilted their heads in confusion at the unexpected movement.
It was Su-ho’s Lizardman army.
[You have defeated the Small Commander Lizardman of the Amnok River.]
He had just taken out another small squad leader.
Then he shouted.
"Tshura!"
"Tshura!!"
At Su-ho’s cry, the other Lizardmen echoed it in unison.
They said nothing else.
Only "Tshura!" was shouted.
There was only one reason.
Because Su-ho didn’t know any other words.
But the effect was tremendous.
The army Su-ho had begun to build upstream had already grown to several hundred, approaching nearly a thousand before his eyes.
By the time he absorbed the third Small Commander Lizardman—
"Churaaah!!"
A thunderous roar.
Su-ho looked up at the booming voice.
Towering above him was a Lizardman even larger and more heavily scaled than the squad leaders.
– Mid ★ 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ★ Commander Lizardman of the Amnok River, Lv. 235 –
Its name: Mid Commander Lizardman.
Su-ho decided to call it the Company Commander Lizardman.
‘Finally showed up.’
The structure of the Amnok River hierarchy was simpler than expected.
Lizardman.
Small Commander Lizardman.
Mid Commander Lizardman.
Large Commander Lizardman.
Lizardman King.
The organization was straightforward.
The Lizardman King commanded three Large Commander Lizardmen, each of whom commanded three Mid Commander Lizardmen. Each Mid Commander Lizardman, in turn, commanded three Small Commander Lizardmen.
Each Small Commander commanded 100 Lizardmen, each Mid Commander had 300, and each Large Commander had 500.
With its clear chain of command and numbers, it resembled a military structure.
Su-ho’s goal was clear: take down the Lizardman King and become the new Lizardman King himself.
Only then could he control this massive force without expending unnecessary effort.
SPLASH!
The Company Commander Lizardman leapt into the river.
Definitely a step up.
Its size and weapon were far greater than the squad leaders’.
But still, just level 235.
Only five levels below Su-ho.
"Chura chura churara?"
The Company Commander Lizardman said something.
What’s it saying?
Su-ho wanted to respond, but he didn’t know how.
So he replied simply, raising his trident.
"Tshura."
That ended the conversation.
Any more words would just be more tshura-tshura nonsense anyway.
Unusually, Su-ho took the initiative this time.
He wanted to save time.
The Company Commander Lizardman snorted upon seeing this.
It must think he’s beneath it.
Good.
Stay arrogant.
Su-ho charged straight in and swung his trident with full force.
The Company Commander lifted its weapon lightly to block.
Or tried to.
[Steel Severance has been activated.]
SPLAT!!
If it could block, that is.
[You have defeated the Mid Commander Lizardman of the Amnok River.]
The moment Su-ho dropped the Company Commander with a single strike, the surrounding Lizardmen—who had been watching silently—began to cheer.
"Tshura!"
"Tshura!"
"Tshura!"
"Tshura!"
They all shouted "Tshura" in unison.
Still no idea what it meant.
They all kept saying “Tshu-tshu,” so Su-ho just went with “Tshura.”
After felling the Company Commander Lizardman, Su-ho absorbed its troops and began to move forward again.
That’s when it happened.
Some of the submissive Lizardmen brought the corpse of the Company Commander Lizardman to Su-ho and pushed it toward him.
‘What the hell do they want me to do with this?’
Their eyes sparkled as they offered the body.
What? Why?
...Wait, are they asking me to eat this?
That seemed to be the idea.
Realizing their intent, Su-ho let out a small, hollow laugh.
‘Are you serious?’
Do Lizardmen really have this kind of behavior?
He looked around.
It wasn’t just the ones in front of him—everyone was gazing at Su-ho with expectant eyes.
If he didn’t eat it, it’d be bad.
But... he didn’t want to.
What am I, an animal? How am I supposed to eat this?
Then, a good idea struck him.
‘As long as it looks like I ate it, that should be enough, right?’
With that thought, Su-ho took the body of the Company Commander Lizardman from them. Then—
[Bloody Hand has been activated.]
TSHWWWAAAH!!
With both hands, Su-ho absorbed the entire body of the Company Commander Lizardman.
It was clean and powerful.
The body vanished completely, sucked away without a trace by Bloody Hand.
Upon witnessing this—
"T-Tshura!"
"Tshura!!"
"Tshuraaaa!!"
The Lizardmen exploded in ecstasy.
"Tshura!"
"Tshura!"
"Tshura!"
They stomped their feet in joy.
Good, you little bastards, see that?
I’m your new commander now.
No matter the species, a leader has to put on a good performance.
Su-ho nodded to himself and began advancing again.
*
Doom! Doom! Doom!
A grand sound.
An unexpected drumbeat made all the Lizardmen turn their heads toward the source.
There, they saw a Lizardman banging on a drum—who knew where he got it from—and the glorious march of Su-ho’s Lizardman army behind him.
But that wasn’t the plan.
Su-ho needed all of these Lizardmen for his strategy.
Which meant it was time to put on one hell of a show—for the sake of his growing army of 2,500.
‘Once I take down this Commander, I’ll be one of the top three in the hierarchy.’
Su-ho stared back at the Commander Lizardman.
It looked down at him with eyes that said, “This is the difference between you and me.”
Yeah, I really don’t like your expression.
Just wait.
I’m about to put on the best damn performance you’ve ever seen.
With that, Su-ho took a deep breath and assumed his stance.
Then, he released the blood stored in Great Blood Orb, along with his mana, and manifested it into form.
Functionally meaningless.
But the visual effect was tremendous for thousands of Lizardmen.
[Disguise has been activated.]
Su-ho activated Disguise.
But instead of instantly transforming, he intentionally mixed the released mana and blood, enlarging his body slowly—like a dramatic illusion.
He didn’t make himself too large.
Roughly his original size.
In fact, he shaped the form to resemble his real body—optimal for combat.
But he added flair.
He changed the color of his scales to red using blood and mana as effects.
Then subtly summoned Blood Armory, equipping a blood-forged sword.
While he was at it, he summoned Guiyeong Spear into his left hand.
His mana and blood still swirled around him like mist.
Su-ho’s Lizardmen stared, some breathless, others gasping.
"Tshura..."
"Tshu..."
"Tshuaaa..."
So cool.
That’s our commander.
We’ve never seen a Lizardman that majestic.
Most had that exact reaction.
The Battalion Commander Lizardman too was shocked.
What is that guy?
Is he evolving in real time?
Never seen or heard of anything like that...
Eventually, the swirling blood and mana dissipated.
Su-ho switched his sword and spear between hands.
Then, with all his strength, he hurled Guiyeong Spear at the Commander.
[Throw has been activated.]
KRAK!!
[Shadow Pierce has been activated.]
[Shadow Shackles has been activated.]
[Shadow Bleed has been activated.]
A burst of alerts from Guiyeong Spear. And then—
[You have defeated the Large Commander Lizardman of the Amnok River.]
THUD!
Its head pierced, the Battalion Commander Lizardman collapsed forward with a heavy crash.
It wasn’t a boss monster—just one hit was all it took.
But with that weapon, this kind of outcome was inevitable.
Su-ho raised his blood sword and shouted:
"Tshura!"
"Tshuraaaat!!"
The Lizardmen shouted in unison.
Submission happened instantly.
He’d felled the commander in one blow—nothing more needed to be said.
Now, as one of the three Large Commander Lizardmen of the Amnok River, Su-ho smiled in satisfaction and walked toward the summoning gate portal.
