Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 711

Lady's temper flared instantly. "Didn't I tell them to get out? What are they doing back here? And bringing those disgraceful people along, what is the meaning of this?!"

As she spoke, she glanced at her daughter-in-law with a mix of guilt and sympathy.

Marina's smile merely grew colder, her expression otherwise showing little emotion.

"Mother, don't be upset," she said. "Of course they can come back. I just seem to have picked an unlucky day to return."

Just as she finished speaking, Ryan entered with Susan and her daughter.

Ryan seemed unaware that Marina was home today; upon seeing the wife he hadn't laid eyes on in a long time, he stopped in his tracks.

His gaze rested on Marina for two seconds, his face betraying no emotion, before he turned to greet Lady.

From that brief interaction alone, Anastasia could tell how strained the relationship between the couple was. They acted like complete strangers, neither acknowledging the other.

*What on earth happened between them...*

As she wondered, Lady had already begun to scold her son.

Before Ryan could defend himself, Susan rushed forward from behind him, saying guiltily, "Lady, please don't blame Ryan. It was my idea to come back..."

"Is it your place to speak here?!" Lady, who detested Susan, cut her off without a shred of courtesy.

She stared at Susan with a grim face. "I've tolerated your presence before, but today my daughter-in-law has come home. What are you trying to accomplish by setting foot in the Lancaster home at this very moment?!"

Lady wasn't the only one who thought so. Marina had just stepped through the door, and moments later, Susan arrived with Ryan, looking sickeningly sweet. It was a blatant attempt to flaunt her position.

Since he had walked in, Harrison hadn't greeted him or even spared him a glance. He was unhurriedly peeling a few grapes, placing them on a small plate, and pushing it in front of Anastasia, his every gesture radiating tenderness and affection.

"Lennon is still in the hospital. Was that your doing?" Ryan's first words were a direct accusation.

Harrison’s hands paused for a moment. He glanced up coolly at his father, about to speak when—

"I was the one who hit him!" Anastasia suddenly declared.

Everyone started, turning to look at her in unison.

Harrison, too, was momentarily surprised, but his expression quickly softened into indulgence, and he made no move to stop her.

Anastasia shot to her feet, fearlessly confronting Ryan.
