"Who did this?!" Gabriel paced the hospital room in a rage. "Beating you like this and ruining your career, is there no law in this world?"
He was about to call the police. "Your mother and I already filed a report last night. We have to find the person responsible—"
Queena, looking utterly dejected, leaned against the headboard. She gave a sarcastic curl of her lip and said weakly, "It was Anastasia."
Gabriel froze, his hand hovering over his phone.
"What did you say?"
"It was Anastasia?!" Nora's eyes filled with hatred.
"That ungrateful brat!!" Gabriel exploded with fury. "You're her sister! It was bad enough she refused to help before, but now she's attacking you! How can she be so cruel and vicious?!"
"Honey, you have to go find Anastasia and teach her a lesson! We can't let her destroy Queena's career like this!" Nora said, gripping Gabriel's arm and suppressing her rage.
Gabriel's face was grim. "I'm going right now!"
At the Lancaster estate.
Anastasia had just woken up from a nap when a servant came to report, "There's a guest outside who claims to be your father. He wants to see you."
Anastasia let out a delicate yawn. "Did he give a name?"
"No, he didn't."
Anastasia waved her hand dismissively. "I grew up without a father. Where would this 'father' come from? Tell him to leave."
The servant turned and left.
Gabriel was so angry he almost coughed up blood. "I'm not dead yet! How dare she say she has no father? Is she cursing me?! That unfilial girl, tell her to get out here right now!"
She said flatly, "Fine by me. From now on, I'll never call you Dad again. You can go home now!"
Seriously, did he really think she wanted to call him that? She couldn't be happier!
Gabriel was completely stunned. When he recovered, he was so furious that his finger trembled as he pointed at her. "You unfilial daughter—"
It was always the same insults. What was the point?
Anastasia was tired of hearing it.
"Is there anything else? If not, please leave, Mr. Sterling!"
"Oh, and since we're no longer father and daughter, please don't come looking for me again. I don't have time to waste on your nonsense!"
With that, she turned and went straight back inside.
