"Lennon has called you 'Dad' for so many years, isn't he your son too? Why can't you think about him for once?!"

"Carter has been sick for years, and it's not life-threatening. But if we ignore Lennon's illness, he won't have a future!"

Her tone was laced with resentment.

Ryan's face turned cold.

"Don't you know perfectly well how Lennon got sick? If you weren't going to look after him properly, you should have expected this day would come."

Shaking off her hand, he walked away without looking back, ignoring the swaying Susan behind him. He didn't see the desperate, hateful look in her eyes.

Bruno was displeased. "This requires an appointment. She only treats those she has agreed to see. You can't just bring someone here and expect her to help."

Susan bit her lip. "But she already agreed..."

"She agreed to treat Carter, not Lennon."
