Chapter 718 The Perfect Opening

High above, Griffin stood atop the giant snake’s head and watched Steven carve his way through the beast tide.
A cold light flashed in his eyes.
He kept wondering what kind of beast that creature was.
Why have I never seen anything like it before?
Griffin’s expression turned cold. As far as I’m concerned, if Steven can’t be used by us, then he has to die.
At his age and level, Steven has already been placed at Class A, Tier Zero pn our kill list. Someone like that can’t be allowed to live.
Otherwise, he would become an enormous threat in the future.
No… Steven is already causing us plenty of trouble now.
Which means we have to find a way to kill him here!
Griffin remained outwardly calm as he thought it through.
Then he asked Fellaria beside him, “What do you think Bianca was relying on when she fought Number 23
earlier?
“A Four-Sigil fighting a Seven-Sigil makes absolutely no sense.”
Fellaria stood there like a living corpse stripped of all emotion.
She had no intention of answering Griffin.
She had once had an incredibly bright future, only to become entangled with this man.
Now her entire life seemed meaningless.
She had practically become Griffin’s plaything…
Griffin continued, “Something about this doesn’t add up. I suspect Darby never got the Ember Sacred Sword fragment. She may have taken it instead.”
Fellaria’s pupils contracted slightly.
For the first time, her expression changed.
But she still said nothing.
After getting no response from her, Griffin suddenly grabbed Fellaria by the throat.
“You’re getting a little too comfortable, aren’t you?”

Powerful pressure erupted from his body as his grip tightened.
Fellaria’s face flushed red
Her eyes were filled with disgust.
Griffin looked at her mockingly.
“You really think you’re still that untouchable academy genius?

“If you weren’t somewhat attractive, do you honestly think you’d have any chance of staying by my side?
“You’re nothing but my toy now. I’m your master, so fix that attitude. If I want you dead, all it takes is a thought.”
The two stared at each other.
A trace of blood appeared at the corner of Fellaria’s mouth, but there was still no submission in her eyes..
She remained silent.
Griffin snorted. “Even when I throw you onto a bed, you just lie there like a corpse. You’re no fun.
My patience has limits. If you’re really that determined to die, I’ll make sure it’s slow, painful, and humiliating.
A terrifying killing intent erupted from Fellaria’s eyes.
There wasn’t a moment when she didn’t want to kill this bastard.
Griffin casually shoved her aside and stopped paying attention to her.
Then he looked back toward the battlefield below.
Steven and Bianca had both joined the fighting.
Bianca looked normal now and wasn’t displaying anything close to the terrifying power she’d shown against Hudson.
This was what her strength should normally look like.
Which meant Bianca had been relying on some incredibly powerful external force.
Griffin focused completely, hoping to spot some clue.
Unfortunately, his level was still too low, and his psychic strength wasn’t powerful enough.
His gaze shifted to Steven as killing intent churned in his eyes.
A cold smile appeared on his face. “You like killing so much? Fine. I’ll kill you first.”
A series of strange sound waves left his mouth.

Ernie and Hudson were locked in a brutal fight, evenly matched as both attacked at full strength. There was no chance of either side winning anytime soon.
Ezekiel’s fight against the Goldbolt Ape, however, was beginning to show results. Under Ezekiel’s overwhelming pressure, the Goldbolt Ape had been forced onto the defensive and looked as though it might eventually lose.
But until the final moment, the outcome was impossible to know.
Greyson’s battle with the snake-scaled old man was also deadlocked.
