Jiang Cheng returned in the car arranged by the Laine couple.
The driver in a black hat gentlemanly opened the car door, and Jiang Cheng elegantly got out, thanking him.
Sun Aiguo, who had been waiting in the hotel lobby, ran out immediately upon seeing Jiang Cheng get out of the car, approached, and took the briefcase from Jiang Cheng’s hand.
"Rose is in the lobby, and he looks unhappy."
Sun Aiguo whispered before stepping back, playing the role of the perfect secretary.
Jiang Cheng knowingly smiled.
"No worries, just watch from the side."
Sun Aiguo gave an almost imperceptible nod, understanding that Jiang Cheng intended to "provoke" Rose.
In his heart, Sun Aiguo mourned for Rose.
Of all people to attract attention from, he had to catch our boss’s eye, which can only be blamed on his "thick wool."
Sun Aiguo opened the door ahead, and Jiang Cheng stepped in with the presence of owning the entire hotel, entering the lobby.
"Ms. Jiang Cheng."
Jiang Cheng slowly stopped, nonchalantly glanced at Rose.
"Oh — so it’s Mr. Rose, who hasn’t entered the door yet."
Rose’s anger was ignited and extinguished in an instant by Jiang Cheng’s words.
"Ms. Jiang Cheng, there’s a saying in Hua Xia about being new in the field, do you really think a food company less than two years old can compete with the family behind me?"
"Mr. Rose, have you heard of another Hua Xia phrase, impotent rage, which is pretty much your current state."
Jiang Cheng and Rose locked eyes, sparks flying with intent to destroy each other.
Rose stepped closer, half-threateningly said, "I don’t know what gives you such confidence, but I advise you to voluntarily withdraw from this bidding, you wouldn’t want to offend me."
Jiang Cheng seemed to hear a joke, lightly covering her lips with her fingertips, eyes full of contempt.
"Mr. Rose, I’ve been advising you from behind the scenes, helping you do foreign trade in Hua Xia for three years, always getting the products you wanted; why don’t you feel grateful?"
"Don’t rush to get angry, I haven’t said the more excessive words yet."
Jiang Cheng stepped forward, her imposing manner overwhelmed Rose.
"Besides using your family as a threat, do you have any other tricks?"
Rose’s expression changed suddenly, Jiang Cheng knowingly smiled.
"Seems like you don’t, truly pathetic."
"Lastly, thanks to Mr. Rose for your early congratulations, after all, my very existence scares you enough to wait here at midnight to threaten me."
After speaking, Jiang Cheng revealed a victorious, smug smile, stepping away in high heels she changed into just before exiting the car, each crisp step striking Rose’s heart.
In the lobby, Rose stared intently at Jiang Cheng’s back, his mind filled with the words Jiang Cheng had just said.
She, advising?
Everything suddenly made sense.
Throughout his dealings in Hua Xia, he had suspected but never thought anyone could see through his plans.
But now...
Rose suddenly realized Jiang Cheng was truly terrifying.
On the other side, having provoked Rose, Jiang Cheng changed out of her high heels first thing upon entering the elevator.
Sun Aiguo skillfully took out flat shoes for Jiang Cheng, grumbling, "Why does this Rose have to be so tall for no reason."
Jiang Cheng laughed upon hearing it.
"Can you really blame him?"
"Why not! Brother Shen says, it’s always someone else’s fault."
Jiang Cheng nodded approvingly, "Not bad, keep it up."
The two got out of the elevator, returning to the room where Zhao Chengde was organizing the documents for tomorrow’s bidding.
Jiang Cheng sat on the sofa, "You go to tomorrow’s bidding, I won’t show up."
"Alright."
Zhao Chengde agreed, showing the bidding documents to Jiang Cheng for approval, after which he and Sun Aiguo left to let Jiang Cheng rest.
Jiang Cheng massaged her temples.
The jam business was a sure bet for her, the main purpose of coming to D Country was to provoke Rose.
By four in the afternoon, there was a knock on the door.
Rose entered the room, and Jiang Cheng stood up, no longer aggressive, extending her hand towards Rose.
"Hello, Mr. Rose, I think we need a fresh start. I’m Jiang Cheng, very pleased to formally meet you."
Rose shook her hand.
"Hello, Jiang Cheng."
For the first time, they met and conversed calmly.
The sense of defeat within Rose gradually washed away during their conversation with Jiang Cheng.
After the washout, all that remained was his admiration for Jiang Cheng.
"Jiang Cheng, you’re the most formidable Hua Xia businessperson I’ve ever met."
Jiang Cheng only smiled silently.
Of course, she thought, I know your life like the back of my hand.
Without surprise, Jiang Cheng reached a partnership with Rose.
The red wine glasses clinked together, marking the beginning of their cooperation.
After Rose left, Jiang Cheng stood by the window, looking at the traffic below, full of confidence.
"Get ready, we’re heading to F Country tomorrow."
"Huh?"
After recovering from his surprise, Sun Aiguo went to book the tickets without questioning the reason.
Early the next morning, the three of them left D Country for France.
Rose returned to M Country with his failed bid.
When Rose returned to M Country and attended the first family meeting, he was met with sarcastic ridicule from so-called siblings.
Rose was used to it, accepting it without any care.
After the meeting, Rose’s admiration for Jiang Cheng peaked.
She was right.
Chase was indeed heading to Hua Xia to seize the market.
