The SA quickly brought over the three sample garments from the new designer and laid them out in front of Yun Zijin and Su Mengyao.
"They all seem pretty nice, don’t they?"
Su Mengyao’s indecisiveness flared up again.
"I still think the first one was better. After all, it’s for the Lu Family patriarch’s birthday banquet. A black dress isn’t very appropriate, and the green one... it doesn’t go with your pink diamonds."
It had to be said, the styles of the three dresses were completely different. If the SA hadn’t confirmed they were all from a single designer, Yun Zijin would have thought they were the work of three separate people.
"You’re right. I’ll take this one, then. You have my measurements, so just alter it and have it delivered to Imperial Garden tomorrow."
Su Mengyao had bought dresses here more than once and was very familiar with the process.
"Rest assured, Miss Su. We will deliver the dress as soon as possible."
Knowing that Yun Zijin and Su Mengyao were going to the Lu Family patriarch’s birthday banquet, the SA knew they would have to push the designer to work overtime to get both dresses ready.
Since they had picked existing styles, the designer only needed to make some size adjustments, which wasn’t a particularly difficult task.
However, the dresses were purely handmade by their team of designers, so the price was just a little on the high side.
Yun Zijin’s dress was 1.2 million, while Su Mengyao’s, being from a new designer, was relatively cheaper at only 500,000.
After paying, neither of them wanted to leave just yet, so they linked arms and began their shopping trip for the day.
"Let’s go to Hermes first and get my bi-color bag!"
Su Mengyao had already gotten her brother, Su Jingyun’s, account information. Today, she was determined to get that bi-color bag!
Yun Zijin didn’t mind where they went. Her only goal was to spend money, anyway.
The moment the Hermes SA saw Yun Zijin and Su Mengyao appear, she knew her sales quota for the day was in the bag.
"Miss Yun! Miss Su! Welcome!"
Seeing the wealthy young ladies, the smile on the SA’s face seemed especially sincere.
"Have you gotten any new arrivals? I’d like to see some new items."
Su Mengyao glanced at the items displayed in the store; she had already bought nearly everything.
And Su Mengyao had no interest in buying the same thing twice.
"Yes, we do, it’s just..."
The SA trailed off, hesitant.
"If there’s an issue, just say it. Whether we buy it or not is up to us."
"A new sofa set just came in. I was wondering if you two might be interested?"
The SA led the two of them to the sofa display area.
Yun Zijin...
’This Hermes really does have everything!’
Yun Zijin looked at Su Mengyao. After all, her friend was the one trying to get a specific bag, and she didn’t mind letting her have first dibs on an expensive ancillary purchase like this.
"I... how much is this set?"
’I must be crazy,’ Su Mengyao thought. ’A sofa? I don’t even have a house under renovation right now.’
"This set you’re looking at is 700,000."
The SA smiled enthusiastically.
"Seven hundred thousand? That’s... not too bad, I guess?"
Su Mengyao had expected it to be over a million; she hadn’t thought it would only be seven hundred thousand.
"But do you have a place to put it?"
’I can’t just throw out the sofa at home and put this Hermes one in, can I?’
’And if I don’t use it, it would take up too much space just sitting in a warehouse.’
"I’ll buy it! If I don’t have a place for it, I’ll just have my brother buy me another house just to put this sofa in."
In the end, Su Mengyao made up her mind.
’Is this the simple, unadorned life of the wealthy, buying houses like they’re buying groceries?’ Hearing Su Mengyao’s words, the SA was so shocked she nearly stumbled.
’My imagination is truly limited by my poverty.’
Yun Zijin heard this and also thought Su Mengyao’s idea was a bit... eccentric.
But since Su Mengyao was set on it, Yun Zijin didn’t try to stop her.
"Miss Su, our store just received a..."
