Natalie’s POV

I sat on the edge of the expansive bed, my fingers tracing the little circles on the duvet, my mind moving at an unsafe speed.

My soul connection is back and I could feel the earth in my head.

The pack is exhaling a beautiful air that’s somehow unfamiliar… I never felt this at the Nightfang pack.

The voices are new too… but the loudest had been there ever since Baron was here earlier.

‘He’s your mate,‘ the voice whispered.

I had tried asking who or what the voice was but got nothing in response but it finally responded now.

‘Don’t worry about what I am… you’ll find out soon enough,‘ it responded suspiciously.

Did the voice just mention mate? I’m wolfless.

I’m not blessed with a mate and there has rarely been cases of wolves mating with humans.

‘Rarely… not impossible,’ the voice whispered and suddenly disappeared.

I was still reeling from the suddenness of it all; the tone of the voice wasn’t scary but teasing even… when the doors burst open.

Yvonne practically flew into the room, her eyes sparkling with a light I hadn’t seen since I arrived. “Natalie! You’re marrying my brother, aren’t you? I’m your bridesmaid! I’ve already claimed the title, so don’t you dare suggest anyone else!”

She looked right at me before saying; “Luna, do you need anything?”

The way she called me Luna made my heart skip a beat, and with the look on Baron’s face… it was obvious he heard it.

“Well done, Shauna.”

Shauna’s eyes shone with pride. “Thank you, Alpha!”

Baron turned to me, his gaze softening into something so tender it made my knees weak. “Go with Yvonne. She has everything ready for you. I’ll be waiting at the Hall.”

I felt somehow disappointed that he had to leave but the disappointment turned into joy at the thought of being his Luna.
