Chapter 383 The Bloodline Race
Baron’s POV

“Alpha!” an enforcer roared through the radio. “The border towers clock us at over one-forty! We hit the valley asphalt at this speed, we lose traction and wipe out!”
“I don’t give a damn about the traction rails!” I roared back my bloodshot eyes flaring with Raze current that melted the frost off my console.
Natalie’s command at the bunker had forced my Alpha mask back on-hold the continental line, be the iron fist.
I had knelt in the gravel and accepted. But none of that mattered now.
“-caught a Moon Pack spy… Loretta has four transit rigs packed with mercenaries in the willow grove… final warning to surrender the Blackridge deeds and power… or she’s coming to execute the childy and burn the pack to the bedrock…”
“Loretta.” I growled through bared fangs, blood escaping my split lip.
The name tasted like poison-the woman who cast me out years ago, stole my birthright, stripped me of everything.
I had rebuilt as the Witch Doctor. I had told myself revenge could wait.
But the crazy bitch wasn’t giving me patience anymore.
She was running on a zero-value sheet.
She had nothing left except her name, her antique rifle, and three decades of hatred curdled into something suicidal.
She wasn’t trying to win-she wanted to take my entire family down with her.
And Sean and Susie were sitting right in her path at the main driveway. Playing with toys. Arguing over breakfast Practicing their “serious Alpha faces.” They had no idea death was crawling toward them through the willow grove.
“Renee!” I shouted into the microphone, my baritone shaking loose stones from the canyon walls. “How long until her rigs-breach the estate gates?!”
“You’re running a four-minute deficit, Baron!” Renee’s voice screamed through static. “Loretta’s rigs atsady cleared the willow grove! They’re bypassing perimeter sensors through low-frequency blind spots! You have one hundred eighty seconds or her enforcers hit the circular driveway before you enter the clearing!”
Three minutes. Not enough.
“Fire the auxiliary boosters!” I commanded, yanking the steering to throw my machine over the edge of a sixty degratedhale 2011.
The cycle screamed as gravity seized it. Blue-white flames erupted from the exhaust as the bigosti ighted, catapulting the near vertical slope
Hold on, Sean. Hold on, Susie. Duddy’s coming.

Chapter-383 The Bloodline Race
Inside the lead rig, the console hum felt distant compared to the quiet conversation near the back berth.
The tension since the spy’s revelation had softened, replaced by something warmer
Yvonne sat on the leather bench, gently wrapping a bandage around Kaelen’s bruised forearm
He sat beside her like a silent shadow, amber eyes tracking her every movement with unwavering devotion.
Without his executioner’s cloak, he looked younger-like a man handed something precious and terrified of dropping it.

Yvonne looked drained. Grey soot streaked her cheeks, and her gold eyes held the hollow exhaustion of someone who’d spent her life running on a false registry and didn’t know where to park her frame.
Waylon and Ruby stood near the cabin doorway, their broadswords finally sheathed.
Waylon’s massive frame softened as he looked at Yvonne, his deep baritone losing its war edge.
“You don’t have to launch into the lawless lanes, Yvonne,” he said, his calloused hand resting against the steel partition. “The birth- swap script was your father’s crime, not yours. You’re family. We have room in the wandering ranks.”
Yvonne looked up sharply, gold eyes widening with fear-the fear of someone offered kindness only to have it snatched away. “I’m
his daughter. His blood runs through my veins. How can you look at me after what he did?”
“Because blood isn’t the same as family,” Ruby said, stepping forward with genuine maternal warmth. She touched Yvonne’s trembling hand.
“You served the Blackridge Pack faithfully for years, never asking for pecognition. You kept their networks running, watched their backs, and never used your position to harm anyone.”
Yvonne’s breath caught. “How did you know?”
“Because I know what it means to be caught between loyalty and blood. And you chose loyalty. Every single time.”
“We can teach both of you the true Nomadic pathways,” Waylon continued, his eyes shifting to include Kaelen. “No digital tracking sheets or corporate masks. Just family. The people who ride beside you through hard winters and long roads.”
Ruby nodded. “Stay with us. Sean and Susie will grow up in a safe clearing now, and we’d love for our grandkids to have their auntie around. Don’t run into the cold wilderness when you finally bave a home right here.”
Yvonne’s eyes glistened with fresh tears.
“I don’t even know how to be part of a real family,” she whispered. “I’ve been alone so long”
“We’ll teach you,” Flynn said from the pilot’s chair, a rare smile touching his lips. “That’s what the carman is for”
Yvonne let out a shaky breath and leaned into Kaelen’s shoulder.
He wrapped his uninjured arm around her, his eyes meeting Waylon’s with silent gratitude
I watched from the command seat, relief settling behind my rilas
The past was being stitched back together with love instead of food. The woods my uncle inflicted were begiming to heal
Then the transport violently bounced over a rough shale ul. My eyes napped to the forward display

Warning indicators flashed red. Proximity alerts screamed. The tactical map showed four hostile blips moving toward the Blackridge boundary line.
The family was healing-but the Moon Pack was still closing in.
I adjusted the display, calculating distance, speed, interception windows. Baron was somewhere behind us, racing his own desperate race.
“Flynn. How long until we reach the estate?”
“Fifteen minutes. Twelve if I push the turbines past red line.”
“Push them.”
The transport surged forward with a violent roar, the thirty-truck caravan accelerating in perfect formation behind us.
The race wasn’t over. And I would be damned before I let a bitter old woman lay a single finger on my children.
