Chapter 92 The Operation
Chapter 92 The Operation
Baron’s POV
I glanced at the two children.

Sean looked like he wanted to scream, his small hands curled into fists but Susie was quiet, her silence was more terrifying.
I barked an order at Shauna, “take them away and keep them safe. Lock the wing. While I’m in surgery, no one – and I mean no one
– interrupts. If a member of the pack tries to push past you, treat them as an assassin.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
Shauna’s voice was steady, though I could see the tremor in her fingers as she clasped a small hand in each of hers.
Sean’s voice wavered, his eyes filled with desperate hope. “Papa… you’ll save Mommy, right?”
“Yes.”
I couldn’t bring myself to scold him.
None of this was his fault, yet his presence had sparked the violent fracture in Finn.
After the trauma of that kick, Natalie’s internal systems were crashing; the Soul–Anchor I had provided was slipping.
The skin grafts had to be done now, or the rejection of her own body would finish what the fire started.
Susie still said nothing.
She bit her lip until the scent of blood hit the air, her gaze fixed on her mother’s limp form as I lifted her.
When the children were led away, I carried Natalie myself.
I didn’t trust a gurney or a nurse; I needed to feel the faint beat of her heart against my chest to know she was still with me.
The villa went into total lockdown.
The moment Natalie was placed on the cold, sterile operating table, a hidden door in the reinforced stone wall slid open.
A figure stepped out from the shadows.
Yvonne.
She was pale but she was very much alive.
She looked at Natalie and her eyes filled with tears. “Baron… How did this happen?… Natalie… she’ll be alright, won’t she?”
“I won’t let death claim her,” I answered, my eyes moving straight to her. “But Yvonne, I told you the price when I hid you. Now I need your skin for her grafts… Will you give it?”
Yvonne didn’t hesitate.
She stepped toward the secondary table.

“Thank you. I’m ready”
She stripped off her outer clothes without shame, her skin smooth and unmarked that I had to rethink.
My hands were already moving before I could catch myself, my claws retracted as i used a silver scalpel to begin debriding Natalie’s ruined, scorched flesh.
The risk was immense.
Normally, such massive grafts on a werewolf required months of recovery.

But Natalie’s human side was too far gone.
I had to do it all in one night – a marathon of stitching flesh and channeling my own Alpha essence to keep her spirit from fleeing the pain.
It was a battle where two lives were laid on the altar.
Breathing deep, I injected Yvonne with a powerful sedative.
Then I began the surgery.
Shauna’s POV
The heavy doors of the operating theater hissed shut, sealing the Alpha and the woman he loved inside the sterilized room.
I stood in the corridor, the weight of the two children’s hands in mine feeling like the most fragile thing I’d ever held.
‘Because they are,‘ Lea, my wolf said in my head.
“Take them away,” Baron had barked. “Keep them safe. No one interrupts.”
I led Susie and Sean toward the lounge, my own heart hammering a frantic rhythm against my ribs.
‘What if she dies? Baron might lose his mind and go crazy…‘ I thought to myself but my wolf grunted in response.
‘He’s stronger than that… She will survive… she responded in some creepy knowing tone.
Sean’s voice was small, wavering with a terror that broke my heart. “Papa… will save Mommy, right?”
“Yes,” I answered for Baron.
I squeezed Sean’s hand. “Your father is the best there is. If anyone can bring her back from the edge of the Moon, it’s him”
I settled them into the lounge, but they wouldn’t sit

Sean looked at me, his eyes wide and searching. “Shauna… did Papa find the right donor for Mommy? He said only a ‘True Match could save her.”
I felt a pang of guilt so sharp I had to look away.
I couldn’t tell him that Yvonn he girl they were currently mourning – was alive in that room, offering her own skin to help save
their mother.
