Chapter 221
Epilogue:
The journey back to Blackfang territory felt like coming home in a way Evelyn had never experienced before. As they crested the final hill, the familiar sight of their pack lands spread before them–verdant forests, majestic mountains, and the sprawling community that would
now truly be her home.
But what took her breath away y wasn’t the landscape. The entire pack had gathered at the entrance to the main grounds, hundreds of faces alight with joy and respect. Their voices rose in triumphant howls and cheers that echoed across the valley, some shifted partially with ears and tails visible in their excitement.
“Look at that,” Devon breathed beside her, his silver eyes bright with emotion as he squeezed her hand. “They’re not just celebrating a victory. They’re celebrating you–us.”
The crowd parted like a wave as they approached, creating a path lined with smiling faces. At the front stood Richard, no longer looking frail but standing tall with renewed strength, flanked by Owen, Olivia, and the rest of the Hall family. For the first time since Evelyn had known him, Richard’s weathered face broke into a genuine, proud smile that reached his eyes.
“My son, Richard’s voice carried across the gathering, commanding instant silence. “You have proven yourself not just as a warrior, but as a true Alpha King. You protected our people, upheld our laws, and found the strength to follow your heart even when the path seemed
impossible.”
His gaze shifted to Evelyn, and she felt the weight of generations in his eyes. “And you, Evelyn Gray–the white wolf we once feared–have shown us that sometimes the greatest strength comes from those we least expect.”
The crowd erupted in deafening cheers. Devon stood tall, his arm protectively around Evelyn’s waist. She spotted familiar faces in the crowd–Lily beaming with tears in her eyes, William nodding with grandfatherly pride, even Jason looking grudgingly impressed. In that moment, the pain of the past three years began to feel like merely the first chapter in a much longer, happier story.
Then, to everyone’s surprise, Devon released her only to drop to one knee before the entire pack, taking her hand in his.
“Evelyn Gray,” his voice rang out clearly over the suddenly hushed crowd, “you were my forbidden mate, the one wolf I was told I couldn’t have. But you became my strength, my conscience, and my heart.” He removed a delicate silver ring inlaid with moonstones from his pocket, “Be my Luna–not just in name or duty, but in love, for all our days.”
Tears spilled down her cheeks as she nodded, barely managing to whisper “Yes” before Devon slipped the ring onto her finger and rose to
his feet.
He turned to address the pack, his voice ringing with authority and joy as he raised their joined hands high above their heads. “This is my mate, my equal, and your Luna!”
The cheers doubled in intensity, washing over them like a healing tide. Children shifted into wolf pups and darted playfully between legs. Older wolves threw back their heads in harmonious howls. In the midst of the celebration, Devon’s voice reached her through their mental

link, warm and intimate. It was the same bond that had allowed them to speak silently when confronting White.
‘You deserve this, Evelyn. All of it. The respect, the love, the family.
‘We deserve this,‘ she responded, letting her love flow through their connection. We did it together. This bond between us–it’s stronger than any force that tried to tear us apart.‘
Devon pulled her into his arms, his embrace warm and protective yet respectful of her strength. His lips met hers in a kiss that felt like a promise–of healing, of family, of a future where neither of them would ever stand alone again.
As they broke apart, Evelyn looked around at what was now truly her home. The family she’d lost had been replaced by one that chose her. The she–wolf who had once been cast out now stood as Luna of her new pack.
In the distance, the setting sun painted the sky in hues of gold and crimson, while the rising moon–full and luminous–cast its silver light over the celebration. A perfect balance, just like them–the dark wolf and his white mate, day and night, strength and healing, finally
where they belonged.
Together.
Dear Readers
If you’ve made it here, you’ve walked beside her–from the night she was cast out beneath the cold moon to the moment she rose,
unbroken and unbowed.
This story was written for every soul who has ever been called too much, too wild, or too broken. For the ones who were silenced, shamed, or left behind–yet still found the courage to fight their way back.
To the banished wolves who learned to run alone, to the survivors who built strength from their scars, to those who still believe that love and freedom are worth the pain–this is for you.
You are not your exile.
You are the storm that followed.
And even when the world tries to chain you, remember–no cage can hold what was born under the moon.
I’ve read each and every one of your comments, and I’m so deeply grateful for your support, your stories, and your faith in this journey.
Thank you for running with me through every chapter, every heartbreak, every howl.
The moon never disappears–it only waits behind the clouds.
