To the sky?
Ami was sure that if she was seen screaming to the sky, there would be many people who labeled her as crazy.
In order to avoid such a situation, Ami could only swallow her anger and unwillingness.
She knew very well that she had to bid her time and figure out a way to improve her strength at the fastest speed possible.
The problem isโฆ
Ami knew that it wouldn't be easy.
The best time for her improvement was every single time after the magic beasts' tide. Because at that time, there would be a large number of magic beasts and even magicians or magic warriors dying.
When they died, the special mana that was suitable for soul magician would come out and this increased Ami's practice speed.
The problem isโฆ
Ami couldn't get to the location that quickly and often missed the best time because of various reasons.
She also didn't want to explain to others about her specialness.
But how could the other returnees be willing to stay silent?
Nalan and Navi basically exposed the fact that the soul magician needed to absorb mana near the death. Not only ordinary death but someone who had just died, preferably someone or something with mana.
Otherwise, it would be difficult for Ami to improve in such a short period of time.
And the lazy Ami definitely didn't want to fight against the magic beasts on her own because it was too tiring.
Ami could still remember the arrogant look from Navi when she heard about her ranks and the disdain from the other party.
It was obvious that Navi should have long figured out that her talent was much worse than the other party.
Not just Navi.
Her talent was also worse than Nalan.
The contemptuous look was quickly put away by the educated Navi, but how could Ami not see it?
Nameless fire burned in her heart.
She really wanted to prove to the other party that even if her talent was really bad, she could still deal with her and could win the battle.
But in the end, Ami realized that it's impossible.
Navi is truly a perfect magician.
With five elements, Navi controlled the elements perfectly well and created a perfect offense around herself. When Nalan was far away, Navi could still control her element to protect herself and when Nalan was around, she would directly attack the enemies in front of her.
The two of them trusted each other so deeply and tightly.
Such an enviable bond.
When Ami saw it, what she wanted to do the most was nothing more than to destroy it.
How could these people have everything while she had nothing?
She's envious.
She's jealous.
She's resentful.
After all, she had reached rank 7 when she was still in Afirer Kingdom and even after her death, most of her soul strength was still retained.
Her body strength was not included, though.
This was the reason why Ami was so weak in the beginning and had to retrain herself.
If she had been able to retrain her strength, she felt that she wouldn't be mocked by other returnees and other people.
So it was in this anger and unwillingness that Ami finally made her decision.
She's too weak.
And even though she did enjoy life briefly after siding with the higher ups for a while.
But enough is enough.
How could Ami focus on enjoying her life when she couldn't even get enough strength and was still mocked by others?
So Ami used the trick to separate her soul and her body.
Soul magicians should only be able to do this in the later stage, but Ami used the resources that she had collected over the years to split her body and soul.
The feeling of being in the soul form was a bit strange.
But it granted her much more freedom than what her original form could ever over.
So Ami is happy.
And being in the soul form meant that she didn't need to eat and all. She could freely move around and then practiced at the fastest speed possible.
In this way, Ami didn't have to worry about some kind of magic beasts killing her when she was close to the frontline or even getting killed by the other people from the back. After all, not many people like Ami and she didn't think of increasing her popularity either.
