Moments later, the warships of the Dragon Warriors had stopped.
All soldiers on the warship stood on the deck and lined up neatly.
Another group of well-trained soldiers descended from the warship and stood in a line.
“Attention!” Following that powerful exclamation, every Eurasian soldier stood with their backs straight and their heads high.
After that, the well-built Nathan and the elegant Penny appeared on the deck together.
Holding her hand, he slowly descended the stairs.
Following behind him were Colin, Ava, and all eight members of the ferocious-looking Elite Eight.
A parade song was played live after Nathan showed up.
Both he and Penny stepped on the red carpet as they passed by the military honor guards.
Whoosh!
The soldiers among the military honor guards raised their heads as they accepted Nathan's attempt at inspecting them. Apart from the serious look in their eyes, there was also a hint of provocation.
It was as though they were showing off their military prowess to Nathan.
When Nathan and Penny got close enough, Bryon stepped forward quickly with his subordinates to greet them.
With a smile, he stretched his hand out toward Nathan. “I'm happy that you're visiting us, Mr. Cross.”
Nathan shook Bryon's hand and smiled. “I'm happy to see you too, Mr. Bryon.”
The reporters around them swiftly took many pictures of them shaking their hands.
If nothing else happened for the rest of the day, it was likely that tomorrow's international news headline would be featured with a picture of them shaking hands.
As for the title of the news, it would be “Powerful Conversation.”
Seconds after they shook hands, they let go.
Bryon smiled gently. “Ever since the day you became the leader of your country, I've been waiting for you to visit us. I'm glad my wish came true today.”
Bryon smiled. “Seems like you're familiar with Admiral Max, Mr. Cross.”
“I'm very familiar with him, perhaps a little too much.” A fake smile hung on Nathan's face. “Admiral Max and I are considered old friends. He had given me plenty of gifts in the past, and I’ve been eager to return the favor.”
A chuckle escaped Bryon's mouth. “Both of you are gods of war, so it's natural that you two have a rather close relationship. Should the chance surface, perhaps both of you can spar with each other and improve together.”
Max narrowed his eyes. “I do want to spar with Mr. Cross, though I'm not sure if I have the chance to do so.”
“I'm a visitor here, so it's expected that I follow the host's wishes. Eurasia is known as the country of etiquette, so if you're looking to spar or do something else, I'll be glad to take up on your offer.” Nathan smiled.
It was evident to Bryon that the tension was getting too high. Max was a famous war hawk and a known militant.
On the other hand, due to his military background, Nathan also had an assertive personality.
It was possible that both of them were going to pick a fight with each other soon.
Thus, Bryon quickly tried to defuse the situation. “Let's talk about the sparring later. Mr. Cross, we've prepared a banquet for you. Let's return to the presidential palace first before we sit down and have a talk.”
