Lance
I smile as I wake up, because today is the day I will sever my tie to Silver Shadow Pack, and Bolt and I know we will never regret this day. I always asked questions about things Alpha Geofry or his Beta did or wanted us to do, and sometimes I wondered if they were trying to ruin the Pack on purpose.
The only one in our Pack's leadership that showed he had a brain was Gamma Keir, and hearing he was the Son of an Alpha and had been an Alpha for years himself made sense. I think he even changed a few things in our border patrols to prevent anyone from doing what was done to his Pack.
I don't doubt a few of the Warriors will take the search parties for Lakota as a chance to leave Silver Shadow Pack, and I ask Keir if I can send a message to those that are on our side, just in case they decide to leave the Pack in search of another Pack to live in.
Keir and Lakota talk about it through their family-link, and it is Lakota that asks me a question, "Do you think any of them would mind following a female Alpha?" I think about it for a minute, but I know that will be the future for Crystal Blood Pack if Keir ever steps down.
"None of them would object, especially if it means getting a better Alpha than Alpha Geofry." I answer, and I know that is the truth. Within ten minutes, I have sent out the messages, and after an hour, I get the first response from one of them; he lets me know that he is with his Mate and two other Warriors.
I give them direction towards us and tell them to leave the Pack-bond in place for a few more hours, just to give them time to get a head start. By the time we stop for dinner, all of them have reached out to me, and each of them is on their way to meet up with us.
They also made sure that each of their teams took a direction in which we left, and every other team was sent in the opposite direction. Lakota had laughed when I told them about that, and she had asked out loud if Alpha Geofry was really that dumb to let a Warrior that lost three of his Pack-members decide which team went in what direction.
Keir and I had laughed our asses off before I had sent out that question.
"Oh, Lakota. Alpha Geofry isn't that dumb, but our Warrior was smarter. He had put those teams on searching in the opposite direction, and Alpha Geofry sent them in our direction." I say as I laugh, and I would love to see the look on his face when he realizes what he did.
Our bond with Silver Shadow Pack has been broken for half a day by the time we stop to rest for the night, and Keir asks if I would accept him as his Alpha to establish a mind-link.
"I would be honored to become a part of Crystal Blood Pack, Alpha." I answer him with a smile on my face.
"This feels like coming home." I say through our newly formed mind-link, and I hear Lakota giggle in my head.
After a good night's sleep, I get woken up by Lakota's voice in my head. "Don't move; we are a little closer to a Pack border than we thought." I strain my hearing to find out in which direction the border is, and that is when I hear voices close by.
"Please, Goddess. Let her accept the asshole's rejection." I send the prayer to the Goddess, and it seems that the female has heard my prayer as we hear her accepting his rejection, but what has Bolt roaring in my head are his next words.

"Okay, the coast is clear. I am going to approach them; I am not sure how they will react to the two of you." Lakota says before she cuts off the link, and soon I hear her soft voice talking to the young female and her siblings.
