I am setting this very real boundary, and I want you to heed it well, I am not part of this package of my daughter. If you want to be part of her life, you will need to foster that relationship on your own. I’m not helping with it. I’m not going to sabotage it but I’m not going to do anything to make it easy for you. As for me, I’m not part of it. I hate you. I hate you both.” She shot Thisbe a look. “I will facilitate a meeting with you. I will tell her that you are her father and that you recently discovered her and want to be part of her life. What you do with that is up to you. The shit about being your wife though, you need to fuck off with that because it’s never going to happen.”

“We will tell her what I said. You are her biological father who recently discovered her and wanted to get to know her better. We will be as accommodating as possible without disrupting her life. She has friends here and is thriving in school,” she exaggerated a bit considering her kid wasn’t at the top of the class in terms of grades, but she probably knew every single kid in her school by name and was liked by the bulk of them.

“Fine.” His eyes had a wicked gleam, “we can do that but I’m buying a house in this town and if I can’t find one for sale, I’ll build it. I want security taking her to and from school.”

“She takes the bus. The security can follow the bus to the school.”

“Okay. I want overnights.”

“What?” his demand made her freeze.

“Overnights. I’m getting a house in town. You can inspect it. I’ll set her up with her own bedroom. She can spend weekends with me at my place.”
