Chapter 288 Wait for Me
Quinn felt like a girl who’d just fallen head over heels in love.
A single message from Julian made her light up and giddy with joy.
When she didn’t hear from him, her mind wandered uncontrollably.
What was he doing? Was he safe? When would he be coming home?
It was all completely new to her.
She’d never felt this way about anyone before.
Not even Chase.
But with Julian… she couldn’t help herself.
Still, he was so busy that she hated to message him first and disturb him.

What if she distracted him, taking his focus away from his work and making him even more worn out?
So all she could do was wait.
And Julian really was swamped.
His schedule was packed tight every single day.
He had to negotiate with local governments and balance power struggles among shareholders.
Especially in more unstable countries, some of his negotiations even carried risks.
Julian couldn’t afford to let his mind wander. He just wanted to finish his work quickly and get back.
Once, he’d never looked forward to going home.
Christmas had just been another date on the calendar, nothing special.
But this year was different.
Even abroad, he’d arranged for flowers to be delivered to Quinn every day.
Eventually, Quinn sent him a message, “Please don’t send flowers every day.”
It took a while for Julian to reply, “Don’t you like them?”
“It’s not that,” Quinn wrote. “The old ones haven’t wilted yet. I can’t bear to throw them away, and there’s no more space at home.”
When Julian read the words “can’t bear to“, all his exhaustion melted away.
He replied, “Wait for me.”

Chapter 288 Wait for Me
So what if Chase doesn’t love me anymore? I can make him fall for me all over again.
Chase sat across from her. “Have you been waiting long?”
Deep down, Rosalie knew that, aside from the status she craved, Chase was actually a good catch.

He was tall and handsome–not quite at Julian’s breathtaking level, but better looking than nearly ninety percent of men.
He also had a naturally sunny personality.
He might be a little immature and irresponsible at times, but that also meant he was genuine and didn’t play mind games.
Maybe people only truly appreciate what they’ve lost. It seemed to apply to everyone.
