Quinn was by no means short, but standing next to the tall Julian, she looked small and delicate.

Rosalie ground her teeth in jealousy.

If I were the one by Julian’s side, we would look far better together.

“Julian.”

Rosalie’s voice cut through the air, and Quinn snapped her head toward her.

Not far away, Rosalie stood by her car, perfectly made up and bright–eyed.

Julian glanced at her too, but showed no reaction.

When Quinn hesitated, he took her hand. “Let’s go.”

Rosalie stepped forward. “Mr. Sterling…”

Before Julian could move, his bodyguards appeared and blocked her way.

He’d had security with him the entire time.

That was the kind of style a man of his status deserved.

She called out quickly. “Mr. Sterling! I have something to tell you–about Quinn. Don’t you want to know?”

Quinn paused again and looked at Julian.

Julian smiled softly. “What’s wrong?”

“She has something to say to you. Don’t you want to hear it?”

Julian turned to her. “Do you want me to?”

Quinn thought for a moment. “If she doesn’t say it today, she’ll find another way to see you tomorrow.”

She knew Rosalie well–she never gave up easily.

Julian nodded. “Wait for me in the car, okay?”

Quinn nodded. “Alright.”

Once she was inside, Julian walked over and stopped a few feet away from Rosalie. “Speak.”

A man like him belongs only to me.

Hearing him admit it out loud made Rosalie’s blood boil.

What did Quinn have that made Julian chase her?

“I don’t know you well, Mr. Sterling, but I’m sure you’re a kind man. Don’t let her fool you.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I don’t know how you met, but Quinn is good at luring men. She dated guys in high school and messed around with no–good men. Even when she was married to Chase, she wasn’t faithful…”

She stared at Julian, waiting to see his reaction.

Julian finally looked directly at her and asked, “Are you finished?”
