Chapter 391 No Work, Just Cuddles
“It’s over. Still sleepy Let’s go rest in the back room.”
He started carrying her toward the private lounge.
Quinn shook her head. “I’m not tired anymore.”
She wanted to stay and watch him work.
She had never seen Julian in his element at the office.
Julian sat down and pulled her onto his lap. “You can sleep right here.”
Quinn rested her head lazily on his shoulder. “Won’t I distract you?’
Julian pretended to think. “You definitely will.”
Quinn started to stand up. “Then I’ll get off-”

Julian tightened his arm around her waist and pulled her back down. “No way.”
“I thought I was distracting you?”
“One kiss first.”
Outside the office, someone was about to report work when Jack stopped him.
“Hold on, don’t go in yet.”
The finance director looked surprised. “Why? I have an appointment with Mr. Sterling right now.”
“He’s in there with his girlfriend. You really want to walk in now?”
The finance director checked his watch. “But I have another meeting soon.”
Jack said, “If you don’t believe me, go ahead.”
“Fine, I’ll come back later. Just tell him I stopped by.”
After the director left, Jack glanced at the firmly closed office door, shook his head, and went back to his
own work.
Inside the office, Julian had his hand gently pressed to the back of Quinn’s head, kissing her deeply

He just couldn’t control himself-not when it was her.
Julian finally let her go when Quinn was nearly breathless.
He laughed softly. “How are you still so bad at breathing when we kiss?”
Quinn gasped for air, her heart racing wildly.
No matter how many times he kissed her, she always felt her heart skip a beat.
After catching her breath, she mumbled, “You’re just too rough.”
It was just a kiss, but he kissed her like he wanted to devour her.
“Still sleepy?”
Quinn shook her head.
That kiss had woken her right up.

And honestly? She loved it.

The two stayed close in the office until eleven-thirty, when Julian finally took her hand and walked out.
Jack saw them and quickly stepped over to report that the finance director had stopped by earlier.
Julian waved it off. “Tell him to email it to me. I don’t have time today.”
Jack glanced at their intertwined hands.
They hadn’t left the office all morning, and he didn’t dare imagine what they’d been up to.
He just nodded and agreed.
When Julian led Quinn to the cafeteria, it caused another stir.
Julian almost never ate in the cafeteria, even when he stayed at the company. His meals were usually brought to his office.
Today he was there with his girlfriend.
He was tall, handsome, the CEO, with an outstanding family, grace, and talent all wrapped into one. Countless female employees at the company secretly had crushes on him.
But they also knew he was strict and cold. They admired him, but they were also genuinely afraid of him. Seeing Julian so gentle with Quinn, like a completely different person, made them all incredibly jealous. They looked at their own boyfriends-not as good-looking, as successful, and yet way too confident. Where did these men even get their pride?
f
Couldn’t they take one look at Julian and compare?
Julian walked Quinn around the cafeteria first, then asked what she felt like eating.
He already knew her tastes perfectly, anyway
