Chapter 71 A Promise to Consider
Quinn hesitated before answering. “Then I’ll think about it.”
“Alright,” Julian said. “Are you free tomorrow?”
Quinn blinked in surprise. “Me?”
Lucy looked puzzled as well. “Hold on, who are you asking, Seven? Me or Quinn?”
“Quinn,” he replied.
Quinn felt her heart tremble slightly. He had called her name so casually.

Maybe he had just picked it up from Lucy and said it without thinking, but hearing him say it still made warmth rush to her face.
“Wait, Seven,” Lucy said curiously. “Why are you asking Quinn if she’s free? What’s going on?”
Julian replied, “Isn’t she making me an outfit?”
Lucy immediately turned to Quinn.
Quinn said, “I will make it. I’ve just been busy lately. Would it be alright if I start in a few days?”
“I’m not in a hurry,” Julian said. “Just reach out when you have time.”
Lucy quickly chimed in, “Seven, you don’t need to worry. Quinn always keeps her word. If she says she’ll make something for you, she definitely will.”
“Alright,” Julian said. Then he added, “I’ll have someone help you move tomorrow afternoon.”
Lucy blinked in surprise. “That fast?”
Julian continued, “And from now on, don’t sha
a bed with anyone except your husband.”
Lucy looked stunned. “What? I can’t even share a bed with my friends?”
“You can’t,” Julian replied coolly.
“Fine, fine. Got it.”
Lucy had always listened to him.
Seeing that she agreed, Julian’s tone softened a little. “If you need anything, tell my secretary and he’ll take care of it.”
After the call ended, Lucy slumped onto the table. “My cousin can be so weird sometimes.”
Quinn looked at her with a hint of envy. “Your cousin treats you really well.”
Lucy waved a hand immediately, “Come on, with the kind of friendship we have, my cousin is basically your cousin tee,”
Quinn smiled faintly. “Finish your lunch. I’ll help you pack after”

While Lucy continued eating, Quinn stepped aside and called Charles.

Charles already knew that Chase had backed out of the agreement, and he had scolded him harshly.
But when it came to family matters, parents rarely managed to overpower their own children.
Just like Rosalie had said, if Chase refused to go through with it, what could Charles really do?
It was not as if he could beat his own son to death.
After all, Chase was still his son. Charles felt guilty toward Quinn, but that guilt could never outweigh his feelings for his own son.
“Quinn,” he sighed as soon as he answered the phone. “I failed to raise my son properly, and you’ve suffered because of it.”
“You promised me he would agree to the divorce,” Quinn said calmly. “Now he’s backing out. How are you planning to deal with this?”
“I didn’t expect him to be this stubborn either,” Charles said. “Quinn, since he says he wants to change, could you possibly…”
“I’m sorry, but no,” Quinn interrupted. “If you were in my position and your spouse had done the same things he did, would you forgive them? I’m not a saint. I can’t do that.”
“I understand how you feel,” Charles said. “And I do sympathize with your situation. Let me talk to him again. I’ll give you an answer by tomorrow at the latest.”
“Thank you for your help,” Quinn replied. “I don’t want to contact him anymore. Please tell him this for me. Even if I died, I would never forgive him, and I would never live with him again.”
After ending the call, the frustration inside her still lingered.
It was not just that she did not want to contact Chase. Even thinking about him made her feel sick.
Her phone rang again. She lowered her eyes and saw Rosalie’s name on the screen.
After a moment of hesitation, she answered.
“You finally picked up,” Rosalie said. “Do you know how worried I’ve been about you?”
Quinn let out a quiet laugh. “If your concern only exists because you want me to stay married to Chase, then thank you, but I don’t need it.”
“Quinn, why do you always focus on the negative things about him?”
that he married me while loving someone else? Or that
“Then tell me something good about him.” Quinn replied coldly. “Is ited to trade his own wife for personal gain and forced
he spent three years treating me like I wasn’t even his wife? Or that he t
himself on her? If he’s such a great man, why don’t you take him?”
“Quinn, I know you resent me,” Rosalie said. “But the fact that he likes me isn’t something I can control Back then I stepped aside and let the two of you get married because I wanted you to be happy. Honestly, if I had been the one who married him, things probably wouldn’t have turned out this way. Of course he’s made mistakes, but a good woman is like a school. She can guide man to become better if he hasn’t changed, don’t you think you share some responsibility
Quinn had heard arguments like that before
