Tony handed his phone to his wife.

“What is it?”

Susan took the phone and looked at the screen. “They’re just a few photos. The two women in these photos have really taken good care of themselves, and they’re quite beautiful too. What is it? Were they your old flames when you were young?

Tony said with a dark expression, “Look carefully. Don’t you think they look familiar?”

“Why would these two sisters-in-law come to Havenmill? Laurence even went to pick them up at the airport.”

Tony continued, “The child from thirty years ago was found near Meadspring by Jane, who is now the Johnson family’s matriarch.

“Jane did adopt a child. No one ever found out the child’s name, but it is true that she adopted him.
