“We came today for two things. The first is that now you’ve officially taken over the family, we should choose a date to host a celebration for our family, friends, and prominent figures from the business world.

“That serves to affirm your status as the head of the family. Every generation of the Longbottom family has held such a banquet after assuming leadership.

“It’s an important tradition.”

Laurence nodded. “Since it’s a family tradition, I’ll naturally follow it, but there’s no need to rush. We can arrange it after things have settled down.

“When you have time, please help to select a few suitable dates. I’ll choose one from among them.

“As for the guest list, procedures, and everything else, I’d like for Uncle Tony to draft a plan for me to review. I only just took over, and there are many things I don’t understand, so I’ll have to trouble all of you for guidance for now.

“I’ll also need to hold a press conference soon. I’ve already promised the media that I’d answer their questions at a later date.”

Tony maintained his smile. “Of course.”
