Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5504

“Mr. Brown,” Sarah greeted.

Sonny responded politely.

She reached out to take his suitcase, but Sonny quickly stopped her. “My suitcase isn’t heavy. I can carry it myself. I’m a grown man. How can I let you ladies carry my luggage?”

He firmly refused Sarah’s help. Sarah glanced at Everly, who smiled. “Mr. Brown is very courteous and gentlemanly.”

Sarah’s eyes practically lit up as she looked at Sonny.

She had heard Everly mention that one of their business partners was exceptionally handsome, but she assumed it was probably nothing special. After all, she had worked beside Everly for years and had met countless executives. People were always saying this or that businessman was handsome, but when she met them, they merely looked a little better than average.

Today, after accompanying Everly to pick Sonny up from the airport, Sarah finally believed her boss. There indeed was a businessman who was young, handsome, gentle, and exceptionally well-mannered.

“Mr. Brown, let’s go. My car is parked outside.”

Everly led Sonny toward the exit. The two walked side by side while Sarah followed behind.

As Sarah watched them chatting, she could not help but think that they looked remarkably well-matched.

Even Everly seemed gentler around Sonny than usual. She was not as stern or domineering as she normally was.

“Mr. Brown, that wasn’t very nice of you. You should’ve told me you were coming. I only found out this morning that you’d be arriving today, so I came to pick you up. My grandfather even told me not to let you stay at a hotel. He wants you to stay at our house instead. We have a big house with plenty of rooms.”

The only thing their house lacked was people.

After visiting the York family in Wiltspoon, Kaden had come home and repeatedly expressed his envy. He envied how prosperous the York family was, how many descendants they had, how successful they were, and how long the family members tended to live.

Everyone wished for wealth and a large family, but few managed to have both. No one had everything. Families with great wealth might have few children, and families with many children might lack wealth. Even those blessed with both abundant wealth and descendants might not enjoy longevity.
