“Yes, I’m making a visit. You’re not feeling well?” Maddie asked in concern. “What’s wrong? Do you need to see the doctor? I’ll call the family doctor to stop by.”

She followed Kaden back into the house and placed the gifts she prepared on the coffee table. Kaden glanced over them and saw they were all expensive supplements and health foods.

There was no need for the Zellers to buy things of the sort because the moment they ran out, they only had to make a call to Maddie for her to hurriedly send some home.

If she was giving them to her parents, Kaden had no comments about it, because it was normal for children to show filial piety to their parents. However, most of the time, the stuff she brought home was divided up between her siblings. Rarely, or not at all, was any left for her parents.

When they needed more, they would call Maddie.

All these years, the Zellers were used to mooching off of Maddie because the Flemmings were much better off, and Everly was their only offspring. The Zellers coveted the considerable assets that were all to be left to Everly in the future.

However, Everly was not close to her mother’s siblings, so they could only try to leech off the Flemmings through Maddie.

If they bought those supplements themselves, at the rate they were consuming them, they could spend hundreds of thousands of dollars per month.

“I’m fine, just tired. I just need some rest. There’s no need to call the family doctor.”

Kaden stopped Maddie from calling the family doctor.

Then, he said, “Maddie, have a seat. There’s something I want to talk to you about.”
