"Sure. We'll travel the country first, then explore the rest of the world."

Zachary casually made another grand promise.

Serenity said, "I've been hearing your promises for years, but I still haven't seen any of them come true. It's easy to just say stuff. You need to walk the talk."

"There's not much going on at home anyway. It'll be fine even if we're away for a whole year."

Although Serenity was the lady of the York household, her sisters-in-law were perfectly capable.

Besides, her parents-in-law could step in if necessary. After they retired, Liam and Tania had also taken a few trips, though they did not spend nearly as much time traveling as Jane's biological parents. They still worried about the family and usually went away only once or twice a year.

They spent the rest of their time in Wildridge Manor, and came to the city whenever they got bored.

Some of the youngest generation, like Koben, were still very young. The elders could not bear to be away from the child for too long.

Zachary laughed. "They're not empty promises. Fine. Once we get home and take care of a few things, we'll hand the company over to our son. I'll take you traveling for a few months, and we'll come back in time for the holidays."

Serenity replied, "That's more like it."

There were so many places she wanted to visit.

When the children were little, whenever she went out, they would cry and insist on coming along. Traveling with children was never as relaxing as a trip with just her husband.

Now, their children were grown and independent. Serenity and Zachary were not young anymore either. They needed to learn to let go of their responsibilities while still healthy. Only then could they enjoy their lives.

They did not have much time to travel when they were young, so they had to make up for it in their later years.

After all, people only lived once. What was the point in living if not to enjoy good food and have fun? If one had the means, there was no reason to deprive oneself.
