Now, her face was completely ruined!
Caesar, having seen his fair share of major events, remained composed despite the awkwardness, while Regina, on the other hand, was visibly upset.
“Let’s go,” Caesar said, rising to shield his daughter.
Regina had already lost her patience.
At his words, she immediately grabbed her coat and left with him.
The main table had only a few guests, and with Caesar and his wife leaving, only Gideon and Calvin were left.
Gideon was still in a daze, completely confused about what had just happened.
Amidst the murmurs from the crowd, Calvin stepped up onto the stage. He took the microphone from Medea’s hands, positioning himself protectively behind her to prevent any ill–intentioned individuals from taking photos.
“Apologies, everyone. Director Wynn has been under high work pressure recently and isn’t feeling well. I’ll take over the next segment for her.”
This immediately shifted the atmosphere.
Everyone had already heard about the close relationship between Calvin and Medea, and the rumor that their families were planning a marriage.
This was big news in Washington’s elite circle.
The Wynn family had gained considerable prominence thanks to this connection.
With Calvin stepping up on stage and continuing to protect Medea, the rumors about their engagement became even more convincing.
Even though Medea had embarrassed herself today, with Calvin here, it didn’t seem to matter.
While many were eager to check out the ASKHEART press conference next door or look for business opportunities, they couldn’t leave.
After all, Calvin’s presence had to be respected.
So, the celebratory banquet wasn’t completely emptied, though those who stayed were clearly distracted.
Some found excuses to leave, calling their subordinates to rush over, afraid of missing out on the opportunity.
Others secretly tuned in to the ASKHEART livestream.
Gideon was one of them.
He was too curious about what was happening to ignore it.
When he saw the number of live viewers for the ASKHEART conference exceed ten million, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him.
Gideon was astonished because, in the past, he had partnered with friends to run an MCN agency, even paying top dollar to sign a few leading influencers.
They had poured a lot of money into publicity, but never saw such staggering numbers.
Plus, Eliza didn’t have money to inflate the numbers.
These were all genuine views.

Not only that, Gideon saw two familiar faces in the livestream’s split–screen.
It was Josh and Baxter!
They were sitting in the second row, watching the speakers attentively.
No wonder these two hadn’t answered his calls!
They had gone to the ASKHEART press conference instead!
Amazing!
But what shocked Gideon even more was what he saw in the front row.
The figures sitting there were far more influential than anyone he had expected.
People from the Washington Business Association had arrived, and even Grayson was personally attending.
There were also people from the government and top figures from the AI Society, including Vice Chairman Charlie and his team.
And the person he had always looked down on–Eliza–was seated among these distinguished people.
What’s more, she was right in the center, C–position!
Gideon, too stunned to notice, didn’t realize that Medea had come down from the stage.
He forgot to turn off the screen, and Medea saw him.
The embarrassment on his face turned paler and paler, feeling suffocated by the situation.
Flustered, Gideon turned off the screen and, in his hurry, knocked over his glass of expensive celebratory champagne.
Such costly wine, and he never even got a taste. It was all spilled.
“Let me see,” Medea said, her voice trembling slightly.
Gideon hesitated, not daring to show her, stammering, “I… I was just watching some beauties‘ livestream, it’s not appropriate for you to see.”
She didn’t insist, instead pulling out her phone and searching for the ASKHEART livestream.
“Medea…” Gideon was concerned about her state.
Medea simply replied, “It’s fine, I just want to see.”
Though she said that, her face clearly showed her discomfort.
Gideon didn’t know how to comfort her.
The pressure from the livestream was a hundred times greater for Medea than it was for him.
Gideon could see her grip tightening on the phone, her fingers turning white from the force.
“So, Josh went to the ASKILART press conference?” she asked, her voice shaking.
Gideon awkwardly tried to explain, “Ile’s one of the investors in ASKHEART, so it’s normal for him to show up and support them.”
“What about Baxter?”
Gideon, drenched in sweat, replied, “He was called by his dad! He’s actually here, and he came as soon as he could.”

Medea couldn’t listen to these excuses.
She only knew that they had all gone to Eliza’s event.
“Even Mr. Young is supporting Eliza.”
Gideon was left speechless.
This was something he couldn’t explain away.
Gideon tried to persuade her to stop watching, but his phone rang.
It was his father.
Gideon answered, only to be scolded by his father, who ordered him to go to the ASKHEART press conference immediately.
“I don’t want to go,” Gideon protested.
“Fine, I’ll book you a plane ticket to go abroad right now,” his father retorted, using his usual stern methods.
Gideon immediately caved. “Fine, I’ll go! I’ll go, okay!”
After hanging up, he hastily came up with an excuse. “Medea, my dad is sick, I have to go see him in the hospital. I’ll make it up to you later and take you out for a meal.”
Medea didn’t look at him. Her voice was cold, “Go ahead.”
Her eyes were fixed on the livestream.
Gideon rushed out to the next room, worried he’d be sent abroad if he didn’t leave quickly.
He had no idea that his image had been captured on the livestream.
This moment was caught clearly by the camera.
Medea’s expression darkened immediately as she watched, her phone clutched tightly in her hand.
On the verge of losing control, the phone was suddenly pulled from her grip.
Calvin’s calm voice sounded beside her. “Stop watching.”
Medea’s eyes were red, and her throat felt tight as though something was blocking it.
“Calvin,” she called out to him, burying her face in his chest.
Calvin didn’t push her away, allowing her to hold onto him.
He comforted her, “Flying may not be as successful as ASKHEART, but its performance is still great. You’ve done your best. You just lacked a little bit of luck.”
Medea, feeling deeply hurt, felt a little better after hearing his words.
“You know I have high standards for myself, so it’s hard to accept this result.“”
“It’s okay, there’s always next time.”
“Hmm…”

Meanwhile, Eliza had no idea what was going on at the Flying celebratory banquet.
She didn’t have time to care about people who weren’t involved with her.
Time was precious!
Mr. Young’s presence meant a lot to Eliza.
Not only was he here, but he had also brought the entire Washington Business Association with him.
Such support was far more substantial than millions of dollars in investment.
When Mr. Kallis brought Gideon to see Eliza, she had just turned off her phone.
There were so many calls coming in from people seeking cooperation that she had to switch off the phone.
Mr. Kallis was polite with Eliza. “President Eliza, let me introduce you to my son, Gideon.”
Then, he commanded Gideon, “Quickly, greet President Eliza.”
