She hesitated, planning to go downstairs to investigate, but just as she was about to get up, she received a message from Vega.

“Settle in and sleep. Everything’s fine.”

So, she lay back down, reassured.

Not long after, the noise downstairs quieted down, and Eliza fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, a doctor knocked on the door to perform a routine check on Ophelia.

Ophelia had a special condition, and Vega had arranged for a family doctor to monitor her health daily.

While the doctor was checking her, Ophelia nervously admitted, “I didn’t take the sleeping pills last night.”
