The corner lights were dim, barely illuminating the man’s cold profile.

Calvin sneered, “Just because you say you’ve repaid, it’s all settled?”

Her conscience was clear, and that was enough.

“Anyway, I’ve repaid it.” Her voice was soft, barely audible.

After saying that, she felt drained of all energy. Without a second thought, she turned to leave.

Step by step, she distanced herself from the man she had once loved so intensely.

Calvin stood there, watching her retreating figure.

Though her steps were slow, she was walking away with firm resolve.

The dinner didn’t last long, as all three were in low spirits.

Gideon had initially planned to take Medea for a night tour of the bay, since Los Angles was famous for its bay night views.
