At the still–blazing accident site, firefighters evacuated shell–shocked crew members. 

Alexander fought past the security cordon, charging toward the inferno. 

“Evelyn! EVELYN!” 

He grabbed one soot covered survivor after another, but none were her. 

A crew member approached him, ashen–faced: “We haven’t found Mrs. Sinclair… She was closest to the blast point. The fireball… it just engulfed her. The force was catastrophic.” 

“I’m sorry, Mr. Sinclair. The fire team has searched repeatedly. There’s no sign of her. We fear the 

worst…” 

“Impossible!” Alexander’s eyes blazed red as he lunged toward the still–exploding set. 

“KEEP SEARCHING! I’ll pay anything–ANYTHING! My Evelyn is still in there. I need to find her–alive 

or…” 

His voice cracked. “I need to find her.” 

A firefighter held him back, voice heavy with sympathy: “I’m truly sorry, sir. The blast was too intense. The impact… there may not be any remains to recover.” 

Alexander’s legs gave out. He collapsed to his knees, fingers clawing at his hair until his knuckles went 

white. 

“What have I…” A broken sob escaped him. 

Tears streamed down his face. 

Every dangerous stunt before this, he’d personally verified every safety measure. 

Except this one time… 

The tsunami of shock, agony, and regret drowned him completely.
