But the very next second, Landen calmly pulled out a megaphone from behind his back, switched it on, and yelled straight into their ear with it.

“Elite Gallery is selling fakes. Give us our money back.”

The sound was deafening.

Everyone watching was just speechless.

“Landen,” Waylon, the manager, hurried out with a fake smile plastered on his face. “You personally picked out these pieces yourself.

“I have no idea which big shot we managed to offend this time, to even get you out here spinning the story like this.”

Hearing that, the crowd started giving Landen complicated looks.

Landen couldn’t stand the insult. He shoved the megaphone right in Waylon’s face and shouted, “Bullshit.”

Waylon kept his fake smile on, but shot a nasty look at the staff.

Four burly staff members marched over, grabbed Landen and his chair, and looked ready to toss him out.

Landen quickly shook his head at Jake, who was standing off to the side. “What are you guys doing?” As he spoke, he suddenly slipped off the chair, clutched his head, rolled around on the floor, and smacked down right on top of the paintings.

‘That couldn’t have looked more fake, Waylon thought.

Landen clung to the megaphone, wobbling dramatically. “Did you all see that? Elite Gallery’s staff was beating people up.” His eyes were unfocused, breath coming in gasps. “I’m just a poor old man, are they trying to kill me here?”

Everyone watching was just speechless.

Waylon shot a look upstairs, his face darkening, “Landen, keep this up, and I’m calling the cops.”

And suddenly, “Yeah, the Antique Row, Elite Gallery,” a cool and steady voice rang out from behind the crowd. Instantly, everyone turned to see who it was.

Stella lazily raised her eyes. “Calling the cops, huh? Does Elite Gallery knowingly selling fakes count as a good enough reason?”

She hung up and walked straight toward the entrance of Elite Gallery.

The crowd parted like the Red Sea, instinctively making way for her

Landen looked up. “Dr. Miracle?”

He looked up, looking perfectly fine, not a hint of that dying act anywhere.

As Stella walked past, she casually grabbed Landen by the shoulder and hauled him up from the floor.

Landen wondered, ‘Wait. What? How did I get up so fast?’

Stella strolled right up to Waylon, giving him a careless grin. “Oh, I went ahead and called the police for you.” She checked her watch. “They’ll be here in six minutes, tops. So just wait a bit.”

Waylon thought, ‘I just wanted to scare that old geezer, not actually get the cops involved.

Stella glanced upstairs. “Get the owner of Elite Gallery down here.”

Her voice was flat, giving nothing away.

Waylon said, “Miss, I’m the manager of Elite Gallery. Whatever it is, you can talk to me. I’ll handle it.”

Stella just gave him a half-smile, her eyes unreadable, with a hint of amusement.

Stella said, “You can’t handle this.”

Waylon said, “Miss, you-”

But before he could finish, Stella lazily raised her hand, pressed her knuckles to her lips, and let out a long, piercing whistle that echoed through the crowd.

Allan, who had just helped Hudson out of the car, froze.

Having witnessed the scene at Red Shadow Training Grounds firsthand, he instinctively looked up at the sky the moment he heard that whistle.

The sky, which had been clear and bright just moments ago, was suddenly overshadowed. Someone let out a startled cry, and everyone else instinctively looked up.

“Holy crap,” someone gasped.

It wasn’t clouds at all. There were thousands of birds, flocking in from who knows where.

They were so dense, it looked like the sky itself was alive.

At the front of the flock was a plump little fluffball, leading the charge straight for the second-floor windows of Elite Gallery. The birds crashed into the glass over and over, pecking furiously with their beaks, making a crisp, rhythmic thudding sound.

Everyone looked absolutely stunned.

Screams shot from the second floor all the way down to the first. Linda made a break for it, but tripped on the stairs and ended up tumbling and scrambling her way down.

Right behind her, Sophia looked like she’d just seen a ghost. Her face was as white as a sheet.

‘Seriously, what the hell is wrong with these birds? They’re acting totally insane, Sophia thought.

Everyone was left speechless.

Hudson and Murray, meanwhile, remained perfectly calm.

Stella raised her hand and blew another long, clear whistle.

The peregrine falcon threw its head back, looking all fierce,

All that fierce attitude disappeared in a flash.

Everyone watching was shocked.

Eggie flapped its wings and dove toward Stella, looking just like a tiny fighter jet. The flock that had been following behind instantly broke formation and flew off.

The adorable little Eggie landed right on Stella’s shoulder, nuzzling her cheek with its fluffy feathers; any sign of that tough-guy act from earlier was gone without a trace.

Stella raised her hand and gently stroked Eggie’s soft fluff. She glanced at Sophia and Linda, both still out of breath, and chuckled lightly. “Fancy running into you two again.”

‘Like we wanted to see you, they both thought.

Landen suddenly put two and two together when he saw Linda. “So you two are the real bosses behind Elite Gallery? Elite? What kind of elite is this place supposed to be?”

The old man pointed an accusing finger at Linda, absolutely furious.

Landen snapped, “Your dad, Miguel, runs Remedy House and sells fake meds, even tried to set up Herbal Haven. Now you’re selling fake paintings to rip me off? You two are thick as thieves, absolute scum.”

As soon as the crowd heard Remedy House and Herbal Haven, they instantly perked up.

Not long ago, Herbal Haven got set up by their competitors, but they turned the tables with some miracle healing, brought the dead back to life, and fixed broken bones right there in front of everyone. It totally blew people’s minds.

And after that, they straight-up roasted the Tongalians live on camera, throwing shade without a care.

Everyone was hyped.

The crowd started whispering and pointing at Linda and her crew. Sophia frowned. Elite Gallery was a private property Carlos had gifted her, and it brought in at least half of her personal rainy day fund. No way she’d let Elite Gallery’s reputation go down.
