A figure shot out from the passenger seat like a human–shaped bur, doubled over, and hurled right into the flower bed at the entrance of Pierce Group,
The security guards at Pierce Group were speechless.
‘Corporate warfare really is nasty business!‘ one of them thought
‘Messing with our energy flow like that? For real?‘ another guard thought.
As they thought this, they shot accusing looks at Blake, who had just stepped out of the car.
Blake, still holding the car door with one hand, caught their stares and was left speechless.
‘Seriously? I just got blamed out of nowhere!‘ Blake thought.
He was totally helpless to explain himself.
Meanwhile, Stella got out from behind the wheel of her flashy red sports car.
She slammed the door shut with a bang.
Today, she wore a black shirt and gray wide–leg suit pants, the sharp tailoring highlighting her cool, no–nonsense vibe.
Behind her, a row of black Mercedes–Benzes rolled to a stop, and people got out at their own pace.
“Stella!” Blake’s eyes lit up as he strode toward her with determination.
Stella gave a cool nod.
Her black sleeves, rolled up to her elbows, looked crisp and shar
“Let’s go,” she said.
Blake straightened up. “Got it!”
At the entrance of Pierce Group, the security guards and bodyguards could only watch as Stella led her crew, all dressed in black, up the steps.
With her hands in her pockets and a luxury black watch worth millions flashing coldly on her wrist, she looked as icy as ever. Her face was totally unreadable.
The bodyguards were speechless.
Outwardly, they kept a straight face, but inside, they were absolutely losing it.
Huge beads of sweat slid down their foreheads.
‘Why does it have to be her again?! That demon queen!‘ they all hought.
As Stella reached the top step, she gave the bodyguards a lazy one–over, her overwhelming aura crushing them without even trying. With a faint, polite smirk, she asked, “So, do we need to throw down?”
The bodyguards were speechless.

‘If you ask like that, then, we’re definitely stepping aside!‘ they all thought.

The next second, the security guards just stared in shock as the Bodyguards, who’d been all tough and full of swagger a moment ago, scattered like startled birds, clearing the way in an instant, no hesitation at all.
“What about you guys?” Stella asked coolly, glancing at the security guards.
The security guards just said, “Please.”
We value our lives too!‘ they thought.
Stella nodded, her hands never leaving her pockets as she led he crew toward the elevators.
No one dared to get in their way.
Employees passing by couldn’t help but sneak glances, stunned and intimidated by her powerful vibe.
Everyone went dead silent, scared stiff.
Stella, unfazed by the silence, hit the elevator button and walked right in.
Blake made a mental note of everything, storing it away for later
‘Hmm, Blake mused to himself.
‘Note to self: First rule of being a CEO. Commanding presence! Blake thought.
Inside the elevator, “Stella, I’ve got 6% of the shares in total,” Blake said.
He’d had his crew scoop up some yesterday, but they got in toote and didn’t have as much cash as that mysterious whale, so all they managed were a handful of scattered shares.
Stella just gave a noncommittal hum, then, out of nowhere, asked, “You ever hear about the mysterious shareholder at Pierce Group?”
She’d dug into it herself yesterday, but still couldn’t uncover who this person was.
All she knew was that they held 5.7% of the shares.
Blake froze for a moment.
He really had no idea, so he glanced over at the lawyer who was always by Kendrick’s side.
The lawyer hesitated for a moment, then finally shook his head.
He was playing dumb.
The lawyer wasn’t lying. Even Kendrick had no clue who this person actually was. They’d never attended a board meeting, so eventually, everyone just forgot about them.
If it weren’t for today’s drama, this mysterious shareholder wouldn’t even be on anyone’s radar, let alone the prize everyone’s fighting for.
The elevator doors slid open.
They’d reached the top floor of Pierce Group.
The conference room doors were shut tight.

Xander’s secretary stood up, looking surprised. “You are?” But the moment she saw Blake, her voice cut off mid–sentence.
Fabian, the big guy, didn’t even look at anyone. He just walked up and kicked the closed door in.
Everyone inside just stared in shock at the door now lying flat on the floor.
Stella sighed helplessly.
Stella turned to Fabian, her face totally blank.
Fabian was stunned. It was just plain awkward.
Fabian kept lifting his hands, like he was about to try and prop the door back up, but his serious face couldn’t hide how lost he looked.
Xander was slumped in the chairman’s seat, looking exhausted and grim after a sleepless night. He turned his head to glare at Stella.
Their eyes locked, and the air between them practically sizzled with silent hostility.
“Security! Where the hell are the guards?!” Xander barked.
Stella shot him a not–quite–smile, cool and mocking.
Xander finally snapped. He snatched up the folder in front of him and hurled it at Stella, his face twisted with rage.
The directors around him recoiled in fright, but Stella didn’t even flinch. She just tilted her head, letting the papers flutter to the ground.
Who was in charge here? The answer couldn’t be clearer.
“Mr. Pierce, calm down,” someone tried to remind him gently..
Xander snapped, “Don’t tell me what to do!”
“Why bother?” Stella said, striding forward, her heels crunching over the scattered papers. Blake walked beside her, his presence just as commanding, nothing like the good–for–nothing rich kid everyone used to know.
This was the first time Blake had ever stepped into this conference room in an official capacity.
The long conference table was packed on both sides, and whether by chance or design, two seats at the front were left empty.
Blake stepped forward, and just as everyone expected him to sit down, he paused, turned with a respectful and serious expression to Stella, and said, “Stella, please. This seat is yours.”
Everyone was too shocked to make a noise.
Most of the directors had attended Conrad’s press conference yesterday, so they knew better than anyone. This seemingly laid–back, indifferent girl was actually a force to be reckoned wit
