Aveline fell silent.

“Don’t,” Dexter quickly cut in, afraid Aveline might do something stupid. “It’s hard to explain.”

Aveline frowned. “What do you mean?”

Dexter’s eyes darted. “Sebastian, I mean, Mr. Gray. He’s her boyfriend.”

Aveline froze.

Back online, the flame war was still going strong.

Curious onlookers, seeing the trending topic dominate the morning, began to chime in.
