Stella lowered her long lashes, her posture relaxed and cool as ic. After that first casual “Hey,” she didn’t bother to say another word.
A faint, knowing smile lingered at the corner of her lips as she rested her chin in one hand, idly drumming her fingers on the armrest with the other.
“This is turning into a test of patience,’ Stella thought to herself.
With a loud bang, the Chief slammed his hand on the table and shot to his feet. “Who are you?”
Stella arched an eyebrow. “Wasn’t it you who asked me to come? Well, I’m here.”
The Chief’s face froze, and after a moment, realization dawned on him. His eyes widened in disbelief. “You’re Shark?”
Stella didn’t deny it.
Landen stood there, dazed.
[Is this supposed to be funny?]
[Believe she’s Shark? I’d sooner buy that I’m a saucer man.]
‘Dr. Miracle is actually Shark?’ Landen’s brain was about to short circuit. ‘Holy crap!’
Landen felt like he had forgotten how to breathe, frozen in shock.
Beside him, Lucas blinked his big eyes and poked Landen.
With a little smack, Landen snapped out of it.
The Chief was stunned. “How is this possible?”
‘Shark is this young?’ the Chief thought, completely floored.
“You really want to have this conversation right now?” Stella said, her voice lazy as she just pointed at the ticking countdown.
There wasn’t much time left for them.
The Chief swallowed hard.
“You’d better back off. Don’t turn this into an international incident!” he said through gritted teeth, even as cold sweat soaked his back.
Suddenly, Stella’s lips curled into a faint smile.
But that tiny smile sent shivers down the spine of everyone who saw it, making their teeth want to chatter from the cold fear.
She snapped her fingers, cool and unbothered. In a flash, the countdown was slashed in half.
There were only 50 seconds left.
“Are you insane?” the Chief shouted, his voice trembling with fury as he instinctively leaned forward and slammed his hand on the table.

Chapter 372
Stella said, “You never should’ve messed with him.”
The atmosphere was so heavy and dark that it was enough to make one forget how to breathe.

“And you really shouldn’t have messed with Clusia,” Stella said, tilting her head, her neck flawless. “You started this, so you’ll pay the price. If you make life hell for us, then 1-”
She smiled again, but her eyes stayed icy cold. “I’ll send every las one of you to the grave with them!”
“W-Wait!” The Chief blurted out, his voice shaky. He’d never come across anyone this unhinged before. Even as a master of dirty tricks, always untouchable in the political arena, he was now sweating bullets.
For the first time, genuine fear gripped his heart.
Stella’s icy gaze was laced with mockery. “Wait? If our roles were witched today, would you wait for me?”
The Chief wondered, ‘Hell no.’
Not only would he refuse to wait, but he’d be grinning wickedly, watching them struggle in vain, and he’d be popping champagne, celebrating as their lives burned to ashes.
[Alert! Alert! Alert!]
The siren blaring above their heads felt like every second was ticking down their lives.
“Chief!” His team cried out in desperation, the gut-wrenching dread of waiting for death was almost too much to bear.
“Stop! I’ll have Hyena call off the command!” the Chief yelled, his voice cracking with panic.
Stella raised an eyebrow.
The Chief’s eyes were bloodshot, desperation written all over his face. “I swear, every single flight will land safely. I swear, no one will get hurt!”
He pounded the table, all composure forgotten.
Stella didn’t even flinch.
On the wall, the countdown was down to its final 10 seconds.
The Chief was practically losing it, his skin crawling. “What do you want? Just say it!”
Stella only smiled,
7 seconds were left.
The Chief’s heart was in his throat, crushed by the terror of death looming over him. “I’ll hand Hyena over and let Clusia deal with him!”
Stella acted like he didn’t even exist.
5 seconds were left.
“The code key is-” the Chief blurted out, totally panicked and out of options.
‘Damn it!’ he thought, panic surging. ‘Stop! Please, just stop!”
4 seconds were left.

Suddenly, Stella spoke up, her voice cool and detached. “Why do you want Sebastian’s blood?”
3 seconds were left.

The Chief blurted out, “Because we think Eric gave Sebastian the gene virus antidote years ago! We need his blood to confirm it and extract the real thing!”
1 second was left.
They shut their eyes tight, their faces contorted with fear, facing he cold, brutal truth that they were about to die.
The very next second. “Baby Shark, doo doo…”
The infamous children’s song suddenly replaced the blaring death siren, echoing over the skies of Monterra.
The Chief and his team stared at each other, totally dumbfounded.
Meanwhile, inside the Control Tower,
Hudson, Murray, Colten, Caleb, and Landen just lost for words.
Just a second ago, their hearts were riding a crazy rollercoaster, up, down, all over the place. But when Baby Shark started blasting, their minds just short-circuited.
It was intense.
The Chief was fuming, his rage barely contained. ‘So all that was just for show?’ he thought.
Stella leaned back into her lazy pose, cool as ever with a smile. “Just messing with you. But I’m taking Hyena’s life.”
Stella hit the button, and the video feed was cut off.
And almost at the same time, on the Control Tower’s radar, every flight that had been disconnected and was on the brink of disaster. Just like that, everything was back online.
“It’s done,” Stella said, spinning her chair around to face Hudson and the others.
Everyone stood there, left speechless.
“Dr. Miracle, so you guys didn’t really hack their system, did you” Landen finally blurted out, voicing what everyone was thinking.
‘Hey, I knew it! No way it was that simple!’ he thought.
Stella just smiled at him, not bothering to answer, leaving Landen hanging.
“You scared the hell out of me!” Landen cried, thumping his chest louder and louder for effect.
Suddenly, a deep male voice rang out. “Shark.”
Sebastian’s movements froze for a second as he looked up at Stella.
Stella froze.
She reached out and gently patted his head. “Don’t go getting jealous over every little thing,” she said softly.
Sebastian was stunned for a moment.
