Chapter 105 Clear It

“Pastor, save me!”

“Pastor, we need healing!”

“I can’t see anything! Where are you? How am I supposed to heal?”

“Forget it. Retreat! We’ll plan and come again later!”

“Let’s go!”

In seconds, everyone except Joanna rushed out of the dungeon.

Joanna stayed behind.

“Nighthowl, Alwyn, can either of you see?”

“No. I’m blind too. Whoever did this has an insane eye-based skill. Or they might control part of the gaze authority. I can’t clear the darkness blocking our vision,” Nighthowl replied.

Her Memory Tome swiftly recorded, “Blindness severity: Extreme. Linked to gaze-rule authority. Activation condition likely: Being seen.”

“I can’t see either,” Alwyn said calmly. His ears flicked as he focused on sound rather than sight.

“Alwyn, cast Sun Storm!” Joanna commanded.

Since no one could see, they would wipe everything out with a wide-range attack.

She also warned Nighthowl.

“Nighthowl, don’t use any eye-based skills. In an Evil God dungeon, even if the entity’s far away or in another dimension, touching its authority could cost you your eyesight forever.”

Evil god-type entities were among the most powerful and inscrutable across all planes.

Currently, Space Alliance humanity mostly avoided them.

Yet those evil gods crept everywhere, always hunting ways to wipe out humans, whom they viewed as food.

If this dungeon could be cleared, the rewards would be huge.

“Understood. I won’t use them,” Nighthowl answered, obedient as always.

Alwyn unleashed Sun Storm. Joanna couldn’t see it, but she knew how devastating it was.

Back on Varuna, people believed sun storms were just magnetic outbursts that fried electronics, messed with the weather, and shifted tides.

But at point-blank range, a sun or a stellar storm occurred, which was pure destruction.

The energy

carried by a sun storm far exceeded that of a nuclear blast.

Instantly, every Human Eyeball Monster and Dove Eyeball Monster in the plaza was burned away or reduced to charcoal by the extreme heat.

Only the eyeballs themselves resisted the flames.

But that was just the first wave.

Next came streams of high-energy charged particles, penetrating the interior of the eyeballs formed by the evil god’s gaze. They shattered DNA strands and destroyed all biological molecular structures.

Immediately, the eyeballs lost all life, shriveling up. Some even swelled into cancer-like masses before collapsing entirely.

Finally, the dead tissue burned again under the storm, leaving not even ash behind.

Sun Storm spread outward from Alwyn in a massive radius, wide enough to blanket a small city. It lacked the precision of Nighthowl’s Celestial Gaze, but its destructive power was terrifying.

It was an area-denial weapon of mass destruction.

The shockwave caused electronics to explode, systems to short-circuit, and fires to erupt everywhere, like a massive thermonuclear blast.

“You have killed Aberrant Eyeball Monsters ×52,254.”

“You have killed Elite Human Eyeball Monster x13,625.”

“You have killed Gaze of the Unknown Evil God x1.”

“You have cleared the dungeon. Clear Time: 2 minutes, 29 seconds.”

“Would you like to save the current record? The current clearing party is: Shattered Dawn.”

What?!

Is this cleared already?

Joanna instinctively saved the record. Immediately, another notification appeared.

“You have achieved the First Clear of Gaze of the Unknown Evil God (Nightmare-tier). Reward: All Attributes +20, War Fragment x1 (Ten War Fragments can synthesize a War Badge). One Dungeon Privilege.”

A first clear came with an extra dungeon-only privilege.

Joanna’s eyes lit up as she checked the options.

  1. One-time resurrection within this dungeon.
  2. Ignore the level requirement for entering this dungeon.
  3. Ignore the party size requirement for entering this dungeon.

She chose option three without hesitation.

Option two could pay off long-term, letting players enter even after passing the level cap to

farm resources.

Many professionals faced bottlenecks because they outleveled easier dungeons but lacked the strength for higher ones.

But Joanna wasn’t interested in safety nets. Moreover, dungeon difficulty dropped time as clears stacked up.

Nightmare would fall to Hard, then Normal, then Easy.

If farmed enough, Space Alliance would drain the resources, and the dungeon might even disappear.

So option two was a clear no.

What Joanna disliked most was the forced matchmaking, waiting for 19 other players, splitting experience, and competing for later-stage resources.
