Chapter 17 Aim Higher

Compared to this, the mush from the cafeteria earlier felt more familiar.

Fans who liked watching pet mukbangs, pretty girls eating, or just enjoying the aroma flooded Joanna’s livestream. The viewer count spiked fast-over 8,000 watching at once.

The portion was huge, so Joanna ate slowly, taking a full half hour to finish.

She waved at the camera.

“Bye, everyone. That’s it for today. See you next time.”

She ended the stream.

“Today’s livestream earnings: 621 Starcoins.”

It was actually double her usual take.

Back then, even a little extra money would’ve made her happy.

But before, it was hard to sit down and livestream properly while interacting with fans. Most of the time, she could only stream the cooking process itself, and the waiting part wasn’t something fans liked watching.

If she tried streaming alone, her teammates would complain that she was slacking.

Now, she had her own life and rhythm.

After eating, she instinctively stood up to wash the dishes. Then, she laughed at herself and gave a voice

command instead.

“Clean the room. Focus on the dishes.”

The hidden household robot in the room started shifting and humming as its rollers moved across the floor.

It would handle everything.

Joanna instantly felt lighter and more relaxed.

Next, she started reviewing her post-battle gains.

Today, she’d gotten two boons from Nighthowl, hit Level 10, and earned five free attribute points.

This time, she didn’t hesitate and put all five points into spirit.

“Base Attributes: Vitality 53, Agility 69, Strength 74, Spirit 112.”

Finally, one stat had passed 100!

Joanna was thrilled. An attribute over 100 meant elite-tier among high school students.

Her four former teammates each already had one stat above 100. They only cared about building their class

advantages rather than teamwork. With an extra ten-plus free attribute points, breaking 100 was easy for

them.

She’d been a complete mess.

Now, her strength had increased by more than three times.

Her previous goal had been just getting into a university in Violetlight City on Chromatic Star.

Now, she was naturally wondering if she could aim even higher.

She wanted to aim for the capital, Redlight City, and get into Twilight University.

“If I grind a bit more, I could pay off the loan. But there’s no rush. I should save at least 2.2 million first, just to make sure I have enough money before the SAT.

“And I also need to keep some dungeon cash-at least 100,000 Starcoins.

“I’m Level 10 now, which means I can get a second summoned beast. But that’s another 1.2 million. That’s a huge gap.

“In this world, if a regular person wants to climb the classes and really change their fate, it takes at least 50 or 60 years.”

Part of that was because summoners burned money fast.

Other classes weren’t nearly as pricey.

As for Nighthowl, he didn’t need much training. He ate what she ate, and the system never mentioned any requirements to level him up.

If circles were the only big expense, then she really had lucked out.

With that thought, Joanna tracked down the summoning professor from Alliance Academy-the one who posted that thread.

She clicked the recharge tip and sent 10,000 Starcoins.

It stung a bit to give more, but she promised herself she’d tip the professor every day from now on.

Without that professor’s paper, she never would’ve summoned Nighthowl. And without Nighthowl, forget about proving anyone wrong-she probably would’ve just ended up as some baby-making machine.
