Holding the coffee awkwardly, Lilian kept her head down, acting as if she were the one being bullied. Lizetta swiveled her chair to face Andrea. "Why are you everywhere? If you're so magnanimous, why don't you let her shove you, curse you out, and then just say 'sorry'?" Andrea scoffed lightly and smiled. "I'm afraid that won't happen. After all, Lilian, the rest of our colleagues, and I all get along great. Everyone here is pretty easy to work with." Lizetta easily caught the passive-aggressive implication that she was a failure at interpersonal relationships, which was why she was targeted and gossiped about. Smirking, Lizetta nodded. "True. After all, I'm not like some people who put on a tiger's skin and actually think they're the beast itself." Andrea put on an act every single day, misleading everyone into thinking she was the real Ms. Madden. Who would dare target her? While many sucked up to Andrea, she hadn't made a single genuine friend since joining the company. Terrified that Lizetta would expose her as a fake heiress right then and there, Andrea immediately dropped her snide tone under Lizetta's mocking gaze. "Come out for a second, I need to talk to you." She shot Lizetta a look and turned to walk out first. Lizetta followed her out and gave her a cold stare. "Spit it out. Since you couldn't snatch the Starlight project from me, what are you scheming now?" Andrea looked exasperated. "Liz, aren't you a bit too cynical? Why do you always assume the worst of people? Are you still suffering from postpartum depression? I know a great therapist, want me to introduce you?" Lizetta glared at her, completely ignoring the bait. "Are you done? Sounds like you need a dentist to stitch up that big mouth of yours." Just as Lizetta turned to leave, Andrea finally grabbed her arm. "Mom and Dad want me to bring you home for lunch." Since moving to Zion City, Eartha and Conrad hadn't stayed at Maple Cottage. Instead, they lived at Conrad's private residence. Living there with Andrea, they truly looked like a picture-perfect family of three. Meanwhile, Lizetta—Conrad's biological daughter—had never even visited the place. As Andrea delivered the invitation, a hint of smugness danced in her eyes. "Have you bring me home? Ha. Andrea, get this straight: I don't go there because I don't want to, not because I can't." Lizetta's sharp gaze practically screamed, 'Who do you think you are? Why would I need you to take me?' Andrea bit her lip so hard she almost drew blood. Lizetta calmly looked away. "I'm not going." Since returning to the Madden family, she hadn't developed an ounce of affection for her biological father, Conrad. On top of that, he had completely ignored her feelings by bringing Andrea back without even giving the Maddens a heads-up. Lizetta was thoroughly disappointed in him and had no desire to subject herself to further misery. Plus, she highly doubted Conrad suddenly missed her enough to invite her over. It was likely a trap. She rejected the offer without hesitation. As she turned to leave, Andrea quickly added, "Mom said she has a few of your mother's belongings at the house. She wanted to give them to you, but since you're not coming, I guess they'll just stay with Mom."

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
