If Remington hadn't cared so deeply, he wouldn't have caused such a massive uproar.
Moreover, it was Remington himself who had rushed to Lizetta's rescue. For the past two days, she had remained unconscious, and he had stayed by her hospital bed without catching a single wink of sleep.
Yolanda wasn't made of stone. Seeing his devotion, she couldn't help but feel moved.
Listening to Yolanda recount the events, Lizetta instinctively glanced toward the hospital room door.
Noticing her eager, expectant gaze, Yolanda knew better than to overstay her welcome. She stood up.
"Alright, seeing that you're truly okay puts my mind at ease. I'm going back to catch up on my beauty sleep. I'm destined to be a massive star, and I look absolutely haggard."
Touching her face with a dramatic look of worry, she waved and left the room.
Lizetta smiled. She reached up and touched her own face, wondering if two days of unconsciousness had left her looking gaunt and pale.
With that thought, Lizetta tried to get out of bed. However, the moment her feet touched the floor, she realized just how incredibly weak a body could become after two days and nights without food.
Her legs gave out completely, and she pitched forward.
Instead of landing in an undignified heap on the floor, she was caught securely in a pair of strong arms.
Remington's tone was fond yet helpless. "I only stepped out for a moment, and my girlfriend is already misbehaving?"
As the man spoke, Lizetta found herself being lifted effortlessly into the air.
She looked up. Remington had clearly moved fast; he had managed to shower, change clothes, and even shave his face clean in the brief time he was away.
Perhaps his previous disheveled state had been too extreme, because seeing him looking so sharp now actually left Lizetta feeling a bit breathless.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and affectionately nuzzled against his shoulder.
"You're not mad at Yoli, are you?"
Remington raised an eyebrow. "Why would I be mad at her?"
Lizetta had just breathed a sigh of relief when he continued.
"She's nothing to me. I only get mad at my girlfriend."
His tone was dark, as if he were harboring an endless amount of frustration and grievance.
Lizetta pressed her lips together, fighting back a smile, and tilted her head slightly.

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
