Remington found it amusing, yet his throat suddenly went dry.
Her cool, damp hair soaked through his shirt. As she wriggled against him, stray strands slipped past his collar, grazing the sensitive skin over his heart.
It ignited an unbearable, electric heat that ruthlessly tested his self-control.
He balled up the towel and tossed it into the sink. In the next second, his large hand clamped down on the back of her neck, applying a gentle pressure.
He pulled her chaotic, nuzzling face away from his chest.
He was about to tell her to behave, but when he looked down, he was met with her glistening, pitiful eyes, making it look as though he were bullying her.
A sudden rush flooded his mind, easily snapping whatever thread of reason he had left.
He had intended to dry her hair quickly so she wouldn't catch a cold and relapse.
But his body moved on its own. He leaned down and captured her lips in a deep, heavy kiss.
Lizetta's eyelashes fluttered, a sliver of mischief dancing in her eyes. Her lips curled slightly, flooded with the thrilling satisfaction of corrupting a saint.
She leaned back against the counter, eagerly opening for him and matching his passion.
His warm fingers tangled into her damp hair. He kissed her fiercely, punishing her for her disobedience.
Within seconds, the intensity left her breathless. Refusing to back down, she pushed back, drawing a sharp intake of breath from him.
Just as the steamy, unspoken tension in the bathroom hit a boiling point, the phone in his suit pocket suddenly rang.
Lizetta quickly shoved his shoulder and turned her head away, gasping for air.
"Answer it..."
He cupped her burning cheek, gently pulling her face back to his. "You're a bad girl," he murmured hoarsely.
"Don't think I'll let you off the hook this time."
She had been teasing him mercilessly for two days. She knew they were in a hospital and that he was too worried about her health to actually take her, so she took every opportunity to drive him crazy.
The moment she sparked a wildfire inside him, she was always the first to retreat.

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
