The chilled medical fluid dripped steadily, landing right on Eartha's face and neck.

She rasped, and breathing a sigh of relief, Lizetta immediately pulled out her phone.

"Make the contact right now."

Drained of strength, Eartha struggled to take the phone. With trembling fingers, she dialed a number and issued fragmented instructions.

"It's me. Eight o'clock tonight, use this number. Have the child ready for a video call. Understood?"

The person on the other end hung up without a single word.

Eartha tossed the phone aside, glaring fiercely at Lizetta.

Her chest heaving slightly, Lizetta gave a satisfied nod. Holding the hand that still gripped the IV needle, she gently patted Eartha's cheek.

"That's more like it. You cooperate with me, and we'll have a pleasant transaction."

Eartha turned pale with fury at being patted like an obedient dog. Her vision darkened as she fixated on the needle still dripping fluid in Lizetta's hand.

Standing up, Lizetta said, "Don't worry. I keep my promises. I'll get the doctor."

She turned and left the room, allowing the doctor to rush in.
