Cassius felt a flare of irritation at her stubbornness, but after the miserable past few weeks he'd endured, he was absolutely certain of one thing: he refused to accept their breakup.
Seeing Remington Dashiell and Lizetta so openly affectionate in the hospital room earlier had struck a nerve. Now that their son was back, their perfect little family made him insanely envious.
He had actually caught himself visualizing a future of marriage and kids with Yolanda. The terrifying part was that he had always been a staunch bachelor, yet the image didn't feel horrifying or absurd—it felt right. He felt a deep, undeniable longing for it.
Driven by that realization, Cassius broke the silence.
"You said you wanted to talk earlier. Go ahead, I'm listening."
Yolanda's lips curled into a sarcastic smirk. After he had just threatened her, hijacked her phone, and spread lies?
Did he really think she was in the mood for a heartfelt chat?
With an expression of pure exhaustion and indifference, she simply closed her eyes.
Seeing her refusal to even look at him, Cassius furrowed his brows, a dangerous spark of frustration flickering in his gaze.
He reached out and forcefully hauled her across the seat. By the time Yolanda snapped her eyes open, she was already straddling his lap.
She glared at him, only to be met with a look of helpless resignation before he spoke.
"Finally looking at me? Yolanda, I don't agree to this breakup. You're not getting rid of me."
Yolanda let out a bitter laugh. "Cassius, we haven't just been broken up for a day or two. It's been over two months. You already have a new fling. What is the point of harassing me like this?"
She genuinely couldn't fathom his logic.
Cassius frowned. "I already told you, there is no new fling."
"Ha, would you dare say that to Zoey Evert's face?"
Yolanda rolled her eyes, her expression steeped in mockery.
"Of course I would! You got her number, didn't you? Call her right now."
