Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 1335

Cassius rushed out the explanation before Yolanda could even utter a word.

It was as if he was terrified that she would shut him down if he didn't clear the air fast enough.

When she remained silent, he assumed she didn't believe him. Pulling out his phone, he quickly swiped through his gallery and shoved two photos in her face.

"Look at this. I own up to everything I do, and I've never cheated in my life. If I actually had some bullshit new girlfriend, why would I be chasing you right now? To mess with your head? I don't have time for petty games."

The photos he showed her were from the same angle as the scandalous paparazzi shots, but uncropped.

Just as he had claimed, the wide shot clearly showed several crew members standing right next to Cassius and Zoey under the streetlamp.

Yolanda averted her gaze from the screen and looked up at him.

"Even if you and Zoey never happened, it has nothing to do with me."

Cassius didn't argue. He simply cocked an eyebrow, his dark gaze drifting down to her thoroughly kissed, swollen lips.

The insinuation was loud and clear.

*I just kissed you senseless, and you still claim it has nothing to do with you?*

Yolanda refused to act flustered. She roughly wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and glared at him.

"It was just a kiss. It doesn't mean anything. Besides, you forced it on me, so why should I be held accountable for it? Let me make this clear: I don't go back to my exes!"

With that, she folded her arms defiantly and stared out the window, completely shutting him out.

Her icy, impenetrable attitude drove Cassius crazy. He wanted nothing more than to drag her back onto his lap and ruthlessly assert his dominance until she broke.

But it didn't matter. He had all the time in the world to wear her down.

Cassius crossed his long legs, studying her beautiful, stubborn profile.

But if she refused, he would do whatever the hell he wanted, and she wouldn't be able to stop him.

The entertainment industry was painfully small. A single rumor could spread like wildfire overnight.

With Cassius's massive celebrity status, if he showed up on her set, the media frenzy would spiral entirely out of control.

Right now, Yolanda just wanted to keep her head down and build a legitimate acting career.

She didn't want any messy scandals linking her to Cassius, branding her forever as his accessory.

Much as she hated to admit it, his charismatic playboy persona meant his fanbase was overwhelmingly made up of obsessive female fans.

While Yolanda was gaining traction, she was still lightyears away from his superstar level.

She couldn't even fathom the absolute bloodbath she would endure online if he pulled a stunt during her shoot.
