"Ms. Madden, what are your thoughts on Mr. Dashiell ruthlessly targeting the West family without any regard for their past relationship?"
...
The reporters' relentless questions continued.
Remington felt Joy shift uneasily in his arms. He signaled for the bodyguards to step forward, his cold, warning gaze sweeping over every reporter present.
He spoke in a deep, commanding tone. "Don't scare the child. Let him leave first, and then I will gladly answer your questions."
Hearing this, the crowd noticed the tiny toddler huddled in his embrace. This was certainly no place for a baby.
Plus, if anything happened to the child, none of them could afford the consequences.
Since Remington had already agreed to an interview, they backed off, giving them some breathing room.
Remington handed Joy over to Nelson Madden.
"Grandpa, take Joy and Grandma inside first," he said.
Nelson took the boy and gave a firm nod. He wasn't worried about Remington handling the situation.
After ensuring Joy and the elders were safe, Remington turned to Lizetta.
Lizetta knew he wanted her to go inside too.
Before he could speak, she beat him to it. "I'm staying with you. We have nothing to hide."
Her expression was calm, devoid of any fear or hesitation.

The readers' comments on the novel: Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington)
Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
